Want to join me in a creative challenge?
Tags:Last night while putting Simon to bed I was thinking about routines again - how nice they are and how nice it is for me (and for our whole family) to be getting back into a routine of me being here more and traveling less.
Tonight I am going to capturethat nightly routine through photos and words and thencreate a layout about it either later tonight or tomorrow.

Count me in. I love routines as well. There is nothing like a "normal" day/evening. I'll take some pictures tonight and see what I can come up with :)

I am in for the layout...not sure I'll get to share it in a timely manner though as we have company coming for the rest of the week. Will try to though!

Our family is big on routines. Charlie our 5 year old is very into the morning routine. I'd love to do a layout on it.
THANKS for SHARING! Speaking of sharing.
Can you share some more pics of your new studio? THANKS!

i did this a couple weeks ago - http://twopeasinabucket.kaboose.com/pg.asp?cmd=display&layout_id=1103284 - definitely love having it down. have a pic of the books that never leave my little-r guys bedside table since they're in constant nighttime rotation to get scrapped soon as well... =)

I almost teared up when I read your post, because I was just wondering why I can't seem to get our life more organized and peaceful. The fact that today is what I call an "off" day with Camden is really making me want to try harder. Tonight we will get into our bedtime routine again and I will scrap it. Thanks, Ali! I really needed this.

You know I don't really have a nighttime routine but I was thinking about doing my morning routine.

I love inspiration like this to get me motivated to do more "everyday life" pages.
Thanks! I will get started!
Another vote for more pictures of your studio!

As the parent of older kids (one 22 & not living at home any more and the other 18, senior in high school) it's hard to find any routines that involve them any more!! My youngest daughter is so in and out these days, involved with school projects we can't predict when she'll be around, let alone any routine! Definitely a challenge---but also good for the brain---probably the most predictable routine my daughter can be counted on is her naps---seems like that is what she does the most when home these days!! Had to wean her off of naps at age 5 so she could go to afternoon kindergarten (& then they discontinued it...). She's always love naps and at 18 still takes them regularly! Just read recently how healthy that is ;)

hi ali! this sounds like an incredible challenge. I am so definitely going to take part. :) We are just revamping our routines lately since we're homeschooling again, so it will be neat to see how things have changed. :)
Anyhow - I also wanted to tell you that I blogged about something I think you would be interested in - especially with your ties to autism, and your love for children. Hope to talk to you soon, ~k
