This challenge came at the perfect time for me, having just complete a move into a new house + the recognition that I have way too much stuff. I am ready to shed the layers...thank you for sharing your secrets for shedding.

I haven't gotten around to doing the product challenge yet, but started shedding layers last week, working on my scrapbook room, off and on, for a couple of days. It'll take me all month to complete everything I'd like to do. Thanks for the motivation, Ali!

Its great to have the Aezine back.
As a new scrapper I have very few supplys to shed!! But I did find a few things I haven't use in an age. This page is my first try at 8.5x11 & I was very thrilled with it. I made the embellishments myself as I coudln't afford to buy ones to match using up bits I had hung about.

I found old Creative Memories paper.
I could only bear to use a snippet. The rest is in my recycle bin.

Ali, thanks for this motivation to use up the awesome scrapbook products that we already own! This is something I've been working REALLY hard at lately because my husband and I are seriously watching our budget over the next few months. It is truely amazing what I find in my stash of goodies when I just LOOK through it! I've barely spent any money on scrapbook products lately, but I'm scrappin' more now than I ever have! Anyway, here is a link to my layout for your challenge. (I used some papers that I've had for a long time and pulled out some acrylic paints that I've had forever but were still unopened...) I also used your "capture life, create art" mantra as my layout title that I have adopted as one of my own life mantras. THANKS, Ali!!

This challenge just fit's right in to my daily routine which is a challenge in and of itself! I've been trying to organize my office/scrapbook room/someday a nursery, for the past 2 years! In doing so, I've run across items that are atleast 5 years old and still in the original packaging. Until now, I've contimplated on throwing them away...WHAT A RELIEF!! I can use them ALL,one last time and not feel guilty about tossing them later! I better get started!!

Wow, you totally have hit it on the mark with the life challenge. I was just thinking (while scrapping on NSB day) that I have so much stuff, it's bogging me down. So I was thinking of purging and getting rid of a lot of stuff. I never seem to "get to it" to use it, always using the latest and greatest. So maybe I should start but getting rid of those old items that I bought, keeping the best of the best, and allowing myself some freedom and giving myself a lot more space!
I still have unfinished projects from classes I took from you at CKU many years ago. Yes, I said years ago!
It's a finish it up kinda year! While purging those scraps and providing some much needed supplies to our area schools! Thanks for the inspiration!

Hi, Ali!
Organizing my scrapbook supplies was exactly what I needed! Thank you for many tips! I found many small pieces of patterned papers and leftover rub-ons. I remember that Kah-Mei, (owner and founder of FontWerks) made a pretty box with punched patterned papers. So, I made a recycled USPS box organizer for my scrapbook supplies. I love it! I am going to make more! It was a perfect project!

Haven't had a chance to indulge in the product challenge but was able to give away five bags of scrapbooking supplies that I had but wouldn't use on freecycle. The lady that picked them up was so excited to have them. She was a brand new scrapbooker (how perfect to have them go on NSD) and couldn't wait to get home and go through them - so I ran back inside and got an album for her, a few of my favorite millenium pens, a tombo adhesive I love, and a couple other things that I still love and use but figured she could use as well!
getting rid of those layers felt great - so I moved on to the yarn and purged 2 bags there...
