Just had to share a major triumph in our journey with Autism! Last night we had a meeting at church. I figured I would try to put Ryan (4 yo Autistc son) in his class but they would probably call me in 10 minutes (as usual) or so to get him because he was upset and he would spend the rest of the meeting with us...
BUT, when we got to church he walked right into his classroom, with 6 loud boys and a teacher he didn't know, and waved his little hand and said "HI." He then played in there for an hour and a half without any issues and when I came to get him he told everyone bye. I am SOOOO happy. That is literally the FIRST TIME EVER in his ENTIRE LIFE (through years of us attending church every week and trying) that he has ever gone into a classroom at church and stayed there and had fun.
And that is one excited looking Vampire!

Whatever he decides to be for Halloween, I hope he has a wonderful time. I can remember the excitement of picking out a costume, and counting the hours until it was time to go trick-or-treat.

We have a vampire this year,too-which is a long way from the last 2 yrs of Spiderman. Hey, a sword carrying vampire is cool - we had Batman in Thomas the Tank Engine slippers at our house one year!

What a cute vampire...Ali you amaze me....I just received your Life artist book and I read every word on every page (including all your journaling) The book made me laugh and cry and taught me life lessons as well as gave inspiration for my scrapbooks. You inspire me to be a better person, mother, and scrapbooker. And for that I say thanks.

My youngest son is also going to be a vampire this year... he's only 2 so he didn't really get a choice. Maybe this is the year of the vampires?!!
