Happy Friday.

Apron

One of my favorite quotes for this Friday afternoon:

To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury; and
refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable; and
wealthy, not rich; to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly; to listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart; to bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await
occasion, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious grow up through the common. This is to be my symphony.

William Henry
Channing

Love all your quotes, thanks, I just read a beautiful quote a couple of minutes ago that made my eyes tear up. You might have heard it before: "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. our deepest fear is that we powerful beyond measure, it is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, "who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?" Actually, who are you not to be" Marianne Williamson. I read this in a newsletter sent by Donna Downey introducing Heather Bailey as a guest at her inspired workshop. Have a great wknd. Ps Iam enjoying your 365 photos..

I go through a lot of quotes before I find the ones that really jive with me and your quote today was one of those rare ones. In fact, the first part goes right along with a powerful and informative video I just watched. I think it was one of your regular readers that put it on her blog (The Messy Canvas).

    Ali,
    I LOVE this quote. However...
I seek both refinement AND fashion. It's weeding out the bad fashion and finding what's pure for my style!
    Love you!

A bit off topic for the day but I was wondering: I'm working on the Project 365 idea, taking a photo a day, and I know I have 254 days left but do you have any great ideas, or have you seen any, on how to make these into an album? I don't want to do a regular scrapbook album for them, and I'm sure I'll do a collage of them for a spread in my regular scrapbook, but I'm trying to think of something really different. That's what 2008 is all about, right? Making art, finding inspiration in new places, and learning how to use that new camera I got for Christmas. Okay, maybe that's mine, but I could sure use some help on sparking ideas! Thanks!

Fabulous quote (I'll have to write that one in my quote book) and such a cool photo. Lovin' the apron, the stool and the distressed cabinet full of books. Looks like a great place to be.
Happy Friday and a great weekend to you too!!
