My biggest photo struggle is paring down the number of photos I take. I am (gasp!) a chronological scrapper so I tend to "scrap it all." It's daunting when you have 100 shots from before breakfast Christmas morning! What I started doing last year is taking some photos and then making a conscious effort to put the camera away and just enjoy the day/event. It's been a good creative challenge -- and it's a lot easier for me to choose scrap-worthy pics from among 25 shots than 100+!
Thank you for letting us peek in at your life via your blog!

I have several. I would love to learn more about shooting in manual. I would like to be more proficient in editing my pics. And finally, I need to be more conscious of downloading often and deleting photos that are just not worth holding onto. I finally purchased an external hard drive for backing them all up...but I have yet to get around to completing that task. But all in all I love my photos and see them as an incredible medium for recording family history.

My biggest challenge has been getting over the fear of my camera and just experimenting. I was getting better at it and then my husband bought me a new lens :) I also signed up for Stacy's LOM class this time around and I am so excited to get things in order!

My biggest struggle is being behind. I didn't start scrapbooking until just recently so I have years & years of photos sitting in boxes. They are finally in order...yahoo. But now what? Do I scrap them, do I file them away, or what? And my current photos leave me frustrated too....do I scrap everything or only a few of my favorites. Any suggestions in this book would be welcome! Looking forward to reading it. Thanks, Tina

My biggest photo problem: I have a digital canon and I can't shoot pictures fast enough to keep up with my granddaughter that is 18 months. I miss all the good shot because of speed. I also have trouble with organization of all the photos that I take. I would really love this new book.

Hi Ali. My biggest photo struggle is finding the pictures I want to scrapbook. I find that I don't really print pictures off and then there are so many to go through. I am taking Stacy's LOM class this year and can't wait to get started! Thanks for the chance to win!

Hi Ali, my biggest struggle is throwing away the "bad" pictures. I keep them. For what? but it pains me to throw them away.

My biggest struggle is getting photos with ME in them A) I don't typically carry around a tripod everywhere I go B) very few people "get" how to take a picture with a Digital Rebel, and it's hard to take "candid" shots if the time leading up to it was an impromptu class on how to use a camera, thus I rarely can just hand the camera over to anyone, C) sometimes bad angles of me quite frankly make me look like a giant turtle (where'd my chin go!?) or a walrus (I know I have a shape under those clothes SOMEWHERE) and I cringe at the thought of putting "less than stellar" photos of me in albums. I'm getting better about that, really I am, but I still cringe.
My fingers are crossed!

My biggest photo struggle is backing it up!! Yea, I've lost so many photos because my backing up process stinks!! But another one is that I don't have a wonderful camera. I wish I had one that was like YOURS!!

My biggest struggle is finding the "perfect" shot. Sometimes I feel I don't attempt it enough and just forget it all together. If that makes sense. I also find it hard to take vertical photos.. weird but I love scrapping with vertical photos and am always disappointed when I don't take any.

My biggest challenge (besides storing them!) is trying to decide what to scrap and what to just put in a photo album - it's hard for me to not want to scrap every single picture!!

My biggest struggle when it comes to taking pictures is getting hold of our camera. My husband is a lover of photography and granted that he is really good, the new camera has become one of his toys and he keeps firmly hold of it. So I'm not even familiar yet with half of the setings on it due to a lack of opportunities to try and handle it. :)

My biggest photo struggle right now is finding my own personal style when it comes to photography. I take the standard pictures of family and friends and events, but what do I really want to focus on? I know that it's people - but what about people? Relationships? Personalities? Everyday life? I'm really struggling with trying to find my own personal sense of style when it comes to my photos and what I want to concentrate on. I keep changing my mind! :)

Thanks Ali for inspiring us all to take a look at what our blocks are when it comes to our photos - so many ways to look at our photos.
I love taking pictures and I think my block might be trying to savour the moment more instead of trying to get that great shot.
This new book is going to be a great start for so many scrapbookers - great job SJ!

My biggest struggle is keeping my photos organized and backed up!!! My next is with 2 kids finding the time to read a photography book so I can learn a little bit of manual on my camera, so that I can improve.

Hi Ali,
My biggest photo challenge is taking too many photos, paring them down, finding time to scrap the best ones, and coming up with a system for organizing the rest. OK, that's four challenges--is that cheating?!
