My biggest struggle is trying to keep everything organized on and off my computer. I have about a million disks of pictures I've backed up, but my labeling system has been less than perfect and to find a picture from last year requires taking a week off of work!

Hey Ali!
My biggest photo struggle would be my brother. He never wants to take pictures!! And when I do get those rare shots of him, HE DELETES THEM!!! It infuriates me that he would do such things and gets kinda annoying when we try to take family photos and my scrapbooks are lacking layouts of him...
So sad...

My biggest photo struggle is remembering what I have taken. How to organize them and then when inspiration strikes remember that i have a photo to capture it. Even if not directly related.
Thanks Ali!

I too struggle with what to do with so many pictures. It is so overwhelming that I have stopped printing them. So now there are pictures stuck on the hard drive; pictures in photo albums and the lucky ones that have printed that wait to be scrapbooked.
I'm anxious to read the book. I also signed up for the class, so hopefully help is on the way. :)

3 children, ages 8,5, and 1. A very small rental house while we look for or build the next house. Thousands of photos, printed and online... need I say more. Unfortunatly I haven't scrapped in over a year. I can't find anything or it takes me hours to find the photos and materials I want to use and by that time my limited time is gone.

I find that whenever I get around to sorting through and looking at my pictures on my computer (which seems like only every few months) it seems like such a daunting project. So many to go through, such little time.

I love to take photos and I have the pix to prove it, ie., 3 X-LARGE tubs of photos, 20+ slide trays w/ 100 slides each, and another 2000 photos in regular albums. Two years ago I went digital and have another 10,000 photos on my computer or on disks. My husband and I recently retired and he is willing to help me organize the photos so we can enjoy viewing the photos of our sons growing up (now 22 and 25), our families and our trips, but we have no idea how to start.

I have around 40 cd's filled of pictures. Kinda overwhelming to think about how to scrap or even organize random events that happen to be on the same disk. Some inspiration and direction would be nice! Thanks Ali!

My biggest struggle is not liking the pictures I take. Either there is too much in the background or too posed. Love your blog!

My biggest photo struggle...People keep giving me photos! That may not sound like a problem, but they give them to me looonnggg after the event and sometimes looonnggg after I've even scrapbooked the event! I like to use every picture (another problem, I know)so what to do with these great shots from others, a little too late???

My biggest struggle is letting go, and not treating each photo like it is the most special that I will ever scrap. I think I need to realize that if I don't like the outcome, I can scrap the same photo a different way. I also need to realize there will always be something to scrap. That this moment is not the be all end all photo, and a new favorite photo is just around the corner. Does that make any sense? Secondly, organization. I reorganize one way, and then change my system and organize another way. I need one system that works with how I scrap.

All my pictures are in photo boxes filed chronologically. I have over 20(mom of 3 kids). That is where they sit, I am overwhelmed trying to figure out what to do next, which to use or pull out and organize differently? I am at a stand still not wanting to mess up what i have already done, but I want to enjoy all those memories and it is kind of hard when you have photo boxes stacked 5 high lining up a wall.

Help I can't delete any pictures. I know I don't need them all and that they aren't even that good but I hate to delete.

i have MANY photo issues. i don't know how to make the best use of the cameras i have. i have 21 years worth of (printed) pictures that are not good quality or have been cropped or poor subject matter and, i have no means to scan then into the computer to possibly retouch them. i can't get rid of them, there is no way to get those events back. i have no clue how to properly use the out dated photoshop program i have to my advantage. i have no workable solutions for organizing and capturing thoughts and ideas about the pictures so i can scrap them at a later time. i am just overwhelmed. judging from the number of comments YOU are going to be overwhelmed by the response to this question...
Happy belated birthday to Simon, btw, he is adorable. i love following your life. thanks for sharing it with us.

My biggest struggle is trying to figure out which ones to get printed. Then I get frustrated and just print them all at costco and have to spend hours going through them..plus there's all the waste of the ones I don't use!
