My biggest photo struggle. Is managing the sheer volume of photos I have! I think if I was more organized that I would actually send out for more prints vs printing them at home which I have a concern about the longevity of these prints.

My biggest struggle with photos right now is: I HAVE 16, yes, 16 years worth of photos to sort and organize!! So I'm the one who definitely needs this book! Have signed up for Stacy's class at Big Picture, but I need all the help I can get! Have just started this scrapbooking addiction, but can't scrap much since my photos are so unorganized!! By the way Ali, LOVE, LOVE all of your books! Have a great day!

My biggest photo stuggle is getting comfortable with my camera's settings. My camera takes great photos on the auto setting but when I want something more I always struggle with apeture setting and shutter speed. I've been experimenting more but I'm still confused.

My biggest problem is having enough TIME to scrap/organize/sort/print/edit all my photos. There aren't enough hours in a day. :-)

I have several struggles mainly which deal with the fact that I get OVERWHELMED every time I try to work on my photos. I started scrapbooking in 2004 shortly after my first son was born and thought his books had to be perfect. Needless to say, I barely finished his 1st year when he was 4 and then at the suggestion of a friend tried to do the current pics. Now I have 3 children and have several gaps in all their albums, boxes of printed photos and over 5,000 pictures on my computer. I think of Stacy Julian as the Peter Walsh (from Clean Sweep) for Photos. I would love her to help me decide what to keep and how to get it all into a manageable system. As a perfectionist by nature, this is one area which overwhelms me the most. I am organized in every other area of my life but just can't seem to stay on top of the mountain of pictures that I take.

What a great (and timely) giveaway, as I am not only struggling with the organization of my own photos (2 children over 8 years @ a rate of 1-2000 photos per year), I am also scanning/organizing all the old b&w's from my aunt's estate! 1000's of old photos -- trying to figure out from my Dad who's who -- saving and then deciding which cousins will want what, etc.........
My biggest challenge is two-fold: where to begin & how to stop once I get started again! HA HA! :-)

Lighting and compostition with my new digital. I can do it all in 35mm. LOL.
Then I organize them and that is where they stay, in boxes or on my hard drive.

After I use a photo for something, I can't decide if I should keep it for use on another project, or eliminate it from my ever-growing collection. It is overwhelming, especially if you take a lot of photos.

My scrapbook "rules" have paralyzed me from creating layouts. I realize I need to break free from these "rules" of 12x12 and chronological-it's made it a boring process and un-fun. I'm in search for solutions to break free from this feeling of guilt and paralyzed status!

I just wanted to comment on the quote from yesterday. It totally sums up the direction I am trying to move in. I plan to put this quote in a prominent place to help me with my struggle. Thank you. Oh, I would take a book too if the opportunity should arise!!! Thanks, Ali.

My biggest photo struggle is parting with any of them. I have no problems sorting through and deciding which ones to use but I have a huge box of rejected photos and I just can't bring myself to get rid of any of them.

Biggest photo struggle...
My pictures look fine on my display and then I get them on my computer and they are all blurry. It is so frustrating.

My biggest photo struggle has to be organizing them all. Since I started digital photography, they are all on my computer but I'm so afraid of losing them.

I take so many photos and when needed it takes me too long to find a specific photo, so i waste a lot of time.

Like so many others, I struggle with organization and storage. By the sounds of it, Photo Freedom can help with this issue.
Thanks for your continued inspiration and belated Happy Birthday to Simon!
