    Bonjour!
My biggest photo challenge is to get the right picture ready at the right time. My husband and I take a lot of pictures ,then I order those that I like for later scrap but I never now already how the layout will be so I print them all in standard format and when the time to scrap them arrives, I realize that I should have made this one bigger or in B&W... But on the other hand, it will not keep me from scrapping them. After all, it's just scrap, it is meant to be fun, not frustrating.

I have several. My biggest problem is lighting. I would like to take more pictures using "natural light", because my flash seems to "wash out" my pictures. However, when I DON'T use the flash, the pictures are blurry.

My biggest photo struggle would be what is in the background of the photo's. I never seem to have nice walls or doors.

My biggest struggle is seeing all those perfect pictures on the web or in the magazines and thinking I have to photoshop my own pictures as well. But I do not have enough time for that and my old computer is very slow. It also takes ma so much time to search for older pictures on the CDs.

Do I have to live in the states to compete? My biggest struggle - hmmm sounds stupid but I get scared taking the camera out in public in case people notice that I am learning to take better photos. I don't wanna be mocked for the flash going off when I so shouldn't be using it. *sigh*

WOW! There are alot of comments here. But, you asked for it huh? Alright I think my biggest struggle is throwing unneeded photos out. You know those photos where someone's head is cut off or it's just too blurry to be recognizable or even if it's nothing in particular maybe just a random shot one where you pushed the button accidently as you were setting the camera down. Yea, I keep them all the good, the bad and the truly ugly! I try to purge, but just can't!! UGH!

Biggest struggle is a tie between getting enough lighting so I don't have to use my flash and getting toddlers to stay still long enough to take a non-blury photo of them.

My photos are just everywhere. On my computer, on an external disc, CDs, printed versions. I just don't know where to find them. Sometimes I just end up making new photos (even when I know I must have some somewhere which I could have used...)
Certainly thinking of buying the book (if I'm not the lucky one)

Reminding myself that it's okay not to scrapbook EVERY photo. It's not possible. I take my favorites and do those. It's really helped me get back to when scrapbooking was a relaxing hobby.

    There are several things I struggle with;
which pictures do I want to highlight
How can I show the emotion/feeling through the photo
STORING my photos in order by date or event
Actually keeping up with printing them so I'm not so overwhelmed with hundreds of pictures of my three year old!
It has been quite beautiful here on the West coast, Very cold, but beautiful!
    Enjoy your day,
    Danielle

My biggest struggle is that I keep taking the same type of photos all the time, repeating the same mistakes. I'm not sure what it is that I need to change to get a different shot.

What a great question, Ali! I LOVE to take photos of everything except PEOPLE. Of course, I'm talking about adults. I love to take photos of kids and babies. I think my reason for not taking many "people" shots is so many of my friends and family "shy away" from the camera as soon as I whip it out. Therefore, I'm much more comfortable taking a picture of a tree or a mountain. The trees, etc... always seem to sit still for me long enough to get a good shot, too. :) I love all those "scenic" photos, don't get me wrong, but I'd love to take good portraits and candid shots of my friends and family as well.
Whew... that was a long explanation.
    Again, thanks for asking!

Current obstacle: printing pics in the size I need for scrapping.
Growing obstacle: manual focus - I'm having a hard time getting photos I like and worth keeping.
These obstacles have become less so since I've been keeping up with you and Becky. Thanks!!!!

My biggest photo struggle is that I have always used point and shoots and never understood the basic foundations of photography until finding the blogoshpere and seeing what really great photos look like. Now I finally got a Canon Rebel XTi and I am walking on cloud 9, but I want to learn how to use the camera in manual and take shots like the ones you take of Simon. They are clear and sharp and tell a bit of a story. I also need to come up with a system of organizing my photos after uploading them to my computer. Thanks for the opportunity to win Stacey's new book Photo Freedom.

Think I struggle with same thing as most of the others. Too many photos to scrap and store. Another thing is that I struggle with is to get good sharp pictures when taking macro pictures. (like of insects etc)

Thank you for this opportunity, Ali. My biggest struggle is actually knowing that a photo does not always have to be perfect to be beautiful. It really holds me back from using them in any project. Take care.

The same as every one else I am sure I am literally drowning in photos, then I want every page to be perfect am hopelessly slow at scrapping, work full time, take care of my kids by myself and they participate in highly demanding sports so at the end of the day I am left with a pile of mostly gorgeous photos which are currently sitting on my bench and I have no idea how to scrap them or what to do with them. . . . this all from me who many would regard as an obessive and good scrapper!
