What a cool giveaway - thanks!
My biggest challenge is categorizing and organizing digital photos. I have so many that seem to belong in many places. To cut down on all the disk space that type of organization would take, my solution has been to organize them chronologically. But that's not how I think about the great stuff I photograph, so I'm feeling kinda stuck.

Actally - I have TWO problems. My biggest problem is actually taking the time to sift through the thousands (yes thousands!) of pictures that I take each year and getting them printed. In the 3+ years that I've been shooting digital, I bet I've printed less than 200 photos!!! My second problem is deleting duplicate shots. Really, how many pictures of one event do I need?? But I just can't seem to erase that "second" of my child's life. Silly - I know!

My biggest challenge with my photos right now is getting all of my older (pre-children) photos out of boxes and organized. I have the last few years organized by date, but still need to scrap them. Since I went digi, I haven't printed out as many photos, so the last few years were easy to do. I also have 7 boxes of "extra" photos that I've already scrapped because I always printed doubles...what to do with those? I'm also trying to remember to set aside prints of each child so I can make an album for their orphanage when we return for birth land visits. So many photos in so many places!!!

My biggest photo stuggle is that all my pictures go from my camera to my computer and thats were they stay. I have to get more organized so I can Print them out and start scrppin them. I signed up for stacys class. Another problem I have I have hundreds of pictures with no info. written on them. So I have tons of pictures and I don't even know what year there from. Thats really stressing me out. How do you organize that mess?
Thanks

Without a doubt: trying to find a storage solution for both digital and hard copy pics. I have close to 8000 digital pics and can never find what I'm looking for.

TWO THINGS
1. When I got a digital camera about a year and a half ago I was amazed and LOVED that I could print only the photos that I wanted. My excitement soon dulled when I realized that once I downloaded them and erased them off my card I never seemed to "go" and print them off, therefore I never have any photos on hand to scrap. They are just sadly sitting in my computer.
2. I dont know how to organize the photos very well ON the computer. I have a hard time coming up with catagories. I dont know the best way to label them.

With my digi camera I take so many pictures, that my problem is if I don't print off my favorites immediately then I tend to move onto the next times I took pictures and may wind up forgetting about those pictures.

I have 2 biggest photo struggles right now, I just received a new DSLR and working on the learning curve to achieve excellent pictures is frustrating me. Working on just taking pictures to learn all I can.
2nd is having my photos available when I want to scrap outside of the house with friends. I am not one to just use 4x6, 8x10, 5x7 etc. and when I go out to crop it takes so much time to organize and page plan that I just put it off and then get super frustrated because it is the day of the crop and I am not ready.
When I scrap at home, I can print out on my printer and am all good no pre-planning involved.
Can't wait to read the new book - thanks so much for helping all of us scrap bookers out.

I think my biggest struggle is the guilt I feel for not being able to get all of my pictures scrapbooked. At one time, I was trying to scrapbook everything every year. I became overwhelmed and gave up for a while. The Big Picture helped me some with this, but I think Photo Freedom could be the therapy I need:).

I have way to many photo issues to list but I would have to say the two biggest things are 1) having the time to get the photos off the computer and 2) a filing system for the photos once I do get them off the computer.
Thanks!

My issue is learning the camera so I can get my best shot and then having time to use what I learn! Thanks, Ali, for all your inspiration!

My biggest struggle w/photography...I really have a hard time eliminating shadows. I love natural light for shooting but I always end up w/shadows I don't like. I love the soft, clean and crisp look your photos have!
And I need to work on my knowledge of PSE software. I have it but just know the basics. I know there are tons more things I can do w/it!

Besides getting my pre-teen daughters to give me a real smile??? It would have to be how to work with light, the lack thereof, and switching from indoor to outdoor, night to day, and that pesky inbetween time. Shutter speed mystifies me. I need to take a class I suppose, but finding time for that is a challenge in itself! Thanks for the free give away - you are very sweet!

Hey Ali,
My biggest challenge is finding a good way to store the pics and cross reference them until I decide if I am going to scrap them or not.

Hi Ali,
My biggest struggle is trying to find a way other than the piles of photos in my room and the files of photos on my computer to organize them. I really have a hard time deleting photos, because even the imperfect ones have something to tell. I live in Harmony Nova Scotia, 10 minutes from the Bay of Fundy. Have you ever thought of taking a family vacation to the east coast of Canada, my scrapping book club would love to have you here.

biggest photo struggle--making sure all 3 kids are equally represented(and that my husband and I are in a few, too).
oh, and organization, deciding which to print and what size, finding time to scrapbook them or put them in frames, remembering to pick up my pictures, I guess I have lots of struggles! :)
