my biggest photo struggle recently is tagging my photos. I'm trying to figure out how to tag my photos without being too detailed and not too vague either. I take thousands of photos every month & it's becoming harder and harder to find the ones I need quickly!

I'd love to get a new book Photo Freedom. My biggest struggle is organizing pictures before I got digital camera. After I organize pictures, I look for inspiration and then do layout when I can.

I struggle with taking the photos. I am not very patient with the process. I am doing a 365 project in hopes of learning my camera and taking my time.

My biggest photo struggle comes from "going digital". I had awesomely organized photo albums of all of my film photos . . . and now that I've gone digital, I tend to not to have any photos printed!! I only print them out, as needed, for layouts. I need to get a grip on that somehow!!

My biggest struggle is letting go of perfectionism and allowing my kids to have a messy face, or the lighting to be wrong, or allowing the color balance to be off and just focus on the emotions.

My biggest photo problem is simply organization. When I'm feeling the creative surge and want to put a page together, I can't locate the right pictures for it. I end up spending my time looking for the pictures and finding others to do instead, and then I have to find the other stuff to complete the page for those pictures. It's overwhelming and usually I just end up with piles laying everywhere. I want to have a system where I can look through and find a picture of my daughter, or of my daughter and myself, or her and a friend, etc. and I feel as though Stacy's system can help me organize my photos in a way that suits the process. That way I'll do more actual scrapbooking instead of so much trying and thinking about it! Thanks Ali!

I take so many pictures - and I have tons on my computer. I really need to organize them, but I am not really sure the best way to organize them on my computer. Now they are by date, but that isn't working. So, that is a hurdle I have to figure out and get over. The next hurdle is getting them printed out or saved to an external hard drive.

I would love to be more realistic with the photos I save. Going digital has been a blessing in that I can take as many pictures as I please - a single event can easily go over 100 shots. But the curse I have now is letting go of all 100+. The bad ones, yes. But the so-so ones, I keep because I don't want to lose any detail when it comes to scrapping or looking back. That is a LOT of pictures to print! And I haven't printed since 2005 because I haven't figured out for myself a process that I'm ok and comfortable with.

My biggest struggle is with data back-up. On the computer, on an external hard drive, photo CDs... all digital media prone to problems.

I'm not as good about deleting pictures as you are. It sometimes takes a long time to find what I am looking for when I decide to do a project. But, I do tag each picture with a person of interest (family, close friends...), and I do rank the pictures when I upload them. That helps reduce the clutter when I am trying to find something.

I think my biggest problem is organization. Do I keep the photos by person, by date, by event? Any help would be appreicated.

Look at all the comments, my goodness! My biggest struggle is finding a program that I like, that is easy to use and organize. I take so many pictures the sheer volume alone is daunting. I can't wait to check out this book and get some guidance in this department. I just got a new computer and I am excited to get started with a new program and stay on top of it. I find that a lot of times I end up with duplicates on my computer, and that just makes it even more difficult!!! You can spend hours upon hours just "looking" for photos...Its so fun, you don't even realize: 1) you haven't scrapped anything at all yet and 2) how much time has passed since you sat down just to print a 'couple' photos for a page!!

Oh, I love Stacy's books! I have digital photo clutter! It may not make my desk messy, but it sure drives the memory captain (my husband) crazy. I take so many photo that I need a system to weed through the unsalvagable ones, print the ones I want to scrap & archive them all so that our computer doesn't run like a turtle!

I have a struggle with organizing pics because I order hundreds at a time and then let them sit. Then I order more and then I don't remember what I've printed vs. what needs to be printed. I started my son's album chronologically and now I want to switch, but it's all so overwhelming because we now have 3 children and I want to keep it consistent. Finding time to actually organize is scarce as well with 3 kids under the age of 5. It's daunting, so I've been avoiding it. This book sounds like it would really help me where I need it most! Thanks, Ali :o)
