Three Things.

Threethings225

Three simple classics this week. It's important to me to have supplies I can count on and "go-to" when I am working on creating stuff. I like it when things work as they should and I can spend more time focusing on what I am putting together + what I want to say rather than worrying about product technicalities.

Three things I use daily:

American Crafts Precision Pens : .03 is my favorite tip size

American Crafts 3-Ring Album : these are the albums I am using to store my layouts (and love that they can accommodate a variety of different page protectors - including the divided ones I reference yesterday)

Albums

Dot n Roller Adhesive : by far my favorite rolling adhesive

Oh yes, I Love some pens... have you ever tried the staedtler brand? i used them in art school and have always loved them for scrapping too... :) I always write with the whole pack first thing too, jsut to make sure they aren;t "scratchy" when they write. LOL.

Can I still add my one little word to your list? I've been living with it but not necessarily actively living it and I want to make it more official! My word is Shine. Thanks for all you do to inspire growth and learning!

I've been using a "Signature" for a while and love it. Do these work on photos?
I need to go back and see your recommendation for WHITE to write on photos...I'm dissatisfied with my current.
Are you happy with a disjointed "join" with 3 ring albums? That would be my concern for 2 page layouts. Though, I suppose it would lower my need for them in some ways.

I love the albums. I would love to get matching albums for all my layouts...maybe someday! :) I use zig pens, but the .03 size is the one I go to most often for journaling. Have a fabulous day! Jenni

I love your three things. I will have to try out these pens. I love AC three ring--love the black leather.
How are albums organized? Will you add labels? Have you done any of Stacy Julian's topics?

Love your inspirational, thought-provoking post from last week! You are so cool!
I wanted to mention that people were inquiring about where to get the divided pages. I was at my LSS last week and on display was a binder ring of trading cards sheets, you know the kind that kids use for their pokemon cards or baseball? In them were the ATC trading cards and the store has a swap every month so the the binder ring was so cool with these awesome little ATC creative gems. Others may already do this or have seen them but it was my first time and I just loved them! The hitch I was told by the staff person is that the trading cards can only be swapped and not sold which I thought was so cool.
Igot me to thinking that those 12 pocket divider pages for special trading cards can have a creative scrapbooking use too. It reminded me that Staples also has similar pages and I believe those are acid-free which is what you would want to be sure of. HTH people and thanks again Ali for sharing your enthusiasm for this hobby! It really is so motivating!

Love those staples. I totally agree with you. I buy in bulk my favorite adhesive, so I don't have to worry if I have any or some new fangled thing I decided to try will work properly. I think I might have to try your albums. I have been searching for a really good one. TFS!

Ali....what color are your AC albums?...they appear to be a mushroom or grey color...but I don't see that listed as a choice. Perhaps it's just a color cast on the photo...so I thought I would ask. ;-) thanx!

I bought two of the Albums after you started pulling all your pages out. I love the Albums and trying a new way to Scrapbook with these new albums. I have ordered a box of the pens. I don't write much. I can't seem to find a pen that I like. Thanks for all the suggestions.

While the creativity flows in our layouts, I must say that I love the unified look of seeing a row of matching binders like your photo!

    Hi Ali,
I love the American Crafts "customizable" albums with the blank 'faces' and the fabric-covered spines, but really like the window ones you are using. When I clicked to AC's link from your blog I saw the 12x12 albums are $13.99! Great deal! (I hope that doesn't mean they are planning to discontinue them?) I hope to get my hands on a couple of these.
    :) Paula

Ali, I am very impressed by the quickness of you putting it all back in the albums. WOW! What a joy it must be for you (and yours) to be able to grab a book and enjoy what you have put together on the pages.

    So we have :
    "three things tuesday"
    "mosaic monday"
    "weekend creative"...
    Maybe there could be a
"peek into ali's scrapbook pages thursday"
    or something...
I know I'm not the only one that can't get enough of your brilliant ideas!!
