Creative Family goes to...

As for us, one of the things we like to do that brings us closer as a family is travel together. We have been lucky over the last couple of years to get to take some really fun, adventurous trips. There is something so refreshing about being able to just focus on the three of us, explore wherever we are, and take advantage of being outside our regular routine. Sharing memories of our last trip and planning for the next one have become two of the things we also really enjoy.

I want to bottle up some of those same feelings + the idea of "getting away" even when we are still physically here at home.  This summer I hope to pitch a tent in the backyard and camp out for a night or two with flashlights + sleeping bags. I also want to do some exploring around our local area. I know there are tons of things to do here that we have never done - "traveling" to our own city would be a cool weekend adventure.

I love the idea of being a tourist in your own town and seeing it with fresh eyes. Definitely going to add that to our summer list.
