CHA : Cool Stuff

Here's a look at some of my favorite things this time around at the summer Craft + Hobby Show.

Love Letters line from Little Yellow Bicycle.
I don't usually tend to be a huge pink fan, but I was really
attracted to the red, black/gray and pink combo (with great use of type +
words). I also liked that this could be Valentine's Day but it doesn't have to be - the elements could work in everyday pages just as well. Ships later this year.

Basic Grey’s Ambrosia line. A seriously delightful bunch of oranges + reds + grays. Definitely getting me ready for fall (actually, I think I love orange any time of the year). I love their sophisticated patterns.

Scrapblog.com. This is the perfect solution for those of you that are interested in trying some digital or hybrid scrapbooking but are intimidated by Photoshop. They have created an online program (web-based) called the Scrapblog Builder where you can begin with a theme or a blank page and then grab elements from their online selection of products. From there you can build layouts, cards, etc and print or share them online. Creating your pages is simply drag + drop and you have the ability to move things around on the pre-designed pages as well. Absolutely worth checking out. The Quick Tour is a good place to start.

Claudine Hellmuth’s new line called Studio for Ranger with paints, gesso, medium, brushes, and the very cool sticky backed canvas. Watching her demo the new line was a real treat.

Tinkering Ink "Reflections" mirror image transfers (click the link to see a quick video with me talking about this product).
Mirror-image is the key word here as the "rub ons" are designed to work
with acrylic so that you have a second image to "match" the one you rub
on to the front side.

Sheer Delights from KI Memories. These are 12x12 translucent die cut patterns and essentially plastic paper. Check out the video link here. ( Photo above from Mellypea's Two Peas Blog. )

Other collections that caught my eye and I am excited to get my hands on include Scenic Route's Sonoma line, Sassafrass-Lass' Life Is Beautiful/Woodland Whimsy, and Heidi Swapp's Dream Dining Room (you can see her video here and product images here).

Look for samples from my fun-time doing demos in the Ranger booth tomorrow.
