Hello Baby Edwards...

Our lives are changing in a very big, very wonderful way early next year.

We've known for just about six weeks now and have been doing a ton of celebrating with family (I am just over 12 weeks along).

The idea of a new little person in our lives is sinking in day by day. I am experiencing a crazy mixture of excitement, all-day nausea, grumpiness + mood swings, too-small clothes (which leads to more grumpiness), and that pure amazing this is really happening joy.

I am so hoping that I am coming out of the early pregnancy/first trimester fog (at least I really, really hope so) and am focusing on living fully and in the moment and not taking a minute of this for granted (easier said than done some of these days when all I want to do is sleep all day). As you might imagine I have a big list of things I want to do before this new person joins us and I have been crossing them off the list very slowly one by one.

Simon is pretty darn excited. He came with me to my doctor's appointment yesterday and really liked hearing the heartbeat (even though he was disappointed that he didn't get to see more pictures).

We are all pretty darn excited.

Life is a tremendously amazing thing indeed.

Congratulations. I have been wondering if you would ever have another baby. I am pregnant with my 3rd boy now, 15 weeks to go. Other 2 are 5 and 7. AS for the nausea, I had it chronically 24 / 7 for weeks and weeks, even in bed at night - it was foul. Then a friend told me about acupressure wrist bands available from the chemist (in Australia anyway) that target motion sickness. It was serisouly like flicking an on-off switch - no more nausea. Give it a try.
