Hello Baby Edwards...
Our lives are changing in a very big, very wonderful way early next year.
We've known for just about six weeks now and have been doing a ton of celebrating with family (I am just over 12 weeks along).
The idea of a new little person in our lives is sinking in day by day. I am experiencing a crazy mixture of excitement, all-day nausea, grumpiness + mood swings, too-small clothes (which leads to more grumpiness), and that pure amazing this is really happening joy.
I am so hoping that I am coming out of the early pregnancy/first trimester fog (at least I really, really hope so) and am focusing on living fully and in the moment and not taking a minute of this for granted (easier said than done some of these days when all I want to do is sleep all day). As you might imagine I have a big list of things I want to do before this new person joins us and I have been crossing them off the list very slowly one by one.
Simon is pretty darn excited. He came with me to my doctor's appointment yesterday and really liked hearing the heartbeat (even though he was disappointed that he didn't get to see more pictures).
We are all pretty darn excited.
Life is a tremendously amazing thing indeed.

congrats on your pregancy Ali! I always asked myself if you and Chris did not want to have more kids and now I have my answer :lol: life changes a LOT when the second baby arrives! tomorrow I have my schedule c-section for baby nr 3, who is also going to be my last kid. I wish you a wonderful pregnancy and hope everything goes smoothly for all of you!

Oh, congratulations! I just read some of your old posts the other day, about just having one child, so this is fantastic news. I am a mother of one boy, adopted and we would so much like to adopt a little sister or brother for him but we don't know if we can afford it. I strongly feel that brothers and/or sisters are the most wonderful thing, to have someone to share your life with and I'm thrilled that Simon will have this oppertunity to share his life with someone.
