Hello Baby Edwards...
Our lives are changing in a very big, very wonderful way early next year.
We've known for just about six weeks now and have been doing a ton of celebrating with family (I am just over 12 weeks along).
The idea of a new little person in our lives is sinking in day by day. I am experiencing a crazy mixture of excitement, all-day nausea, grumpiness + mood swings, too-small clothes (which leads to more grumpiness), and that pure amazing this is really happening joy.
I am so hoping that I am coming out of the early pregnancy/first trimester fog (at least I really, really hope so) and am focusing on living fully and in the moment and not taking a minute of this for granted (easier said than done some of these days when all I want to do is sleep all day). As you might imagine I have a big list of things I want to do before this new person joins us and I have been crossing them off the list very slowly one by one.
Simon is pretty darn excited. He came with me to my doctor's appointment yesterday and really liked hearing the heartbeat (even though he was disappointed that he didn't get to see more pictures).
We are all pretty darn excited.
Life is a tremendously amazing thing indeed.

ALIIIIII!!!! That's awesome!!! Congratulations! So excited for you. My baby was born last Saturday and I am cherishing every moment of her little existence. Somehow knowing this is my second (and likely my last) makes me hold on to every moment.

I recently got married and my husband and I are checking into starting a family.... so far, prenatal vitamins and good health. Then, there's the fun part of trying.... so, we'll see. SO HAPPY FOR YOU! (And great news that Simon is excited to be a BIG brother!)
