I also love the dot-n-roller. thanks for turning me onto it about a year ago. I buy it in the 6-pack and am so grateful that Scrapbook.com sells it at that discount.

I was at CKC this past weekend in Valley Forge and I guess they used this adhesive in one of the classes because I was on line to buy some myself, I've also used it for a while, and all the ladies were saying the best part of the class was learning about this adhesive! lol So they were all on line to buy some. And the line was VERY LONG!

I was using the Tombo runner, but noticed that some projects (that required folding) would come undone after time...which is not very reasurring.
Right now I am using the Scotch ATG 714 which is pretty fun, it looks intimidating because it is so large but it is really easy to work....but man if you need to pull something back apart...forget it, it is stuck forever. Has anyone used this tape? likes/dislikes? would like to hear about your fave adhesives!!

Terrific way to journal, you have described the background and set the scene for your photo in a few words. You can almost feel the cool sea breeze.......and I live in the middle of Texas!

I've been trying to go green with art supplies. The various
adhesives use to much plastic; to produce and in the product (including the packaging). I've gone back to using whatever is
just tape and UHU sticks. Requires more time to use but less
quilt.

I love the simplicity of this layout. It's so gorgeous. I love how the amazing photo takes center stage, but I still get to enjoy some yummy goodness underneath.
That bottom paper strip is just perfect--the colors compliment the photo so wonderfully. It could be a wild pattern, but by using just a small amount, and pairing it with that more subtle pattern on top, it's a perfect compliment instead.
I don't know how you are able to get so much neat handwriting on a photo like that! My handwriting gets messy when I'm under that much pressure. And with that much writing, I'm bound to make a big ugly mistake!

Me again--Do you use any kind of technique or tool to keep your handwriting from going on an incline?
Also--reassure me here--did this much handwriting work out on the first attempt? Or did you have to try a couple of times? ;)

I am a huge fan of the Dot n'Roller too! I've almost switched everyone at my LSS over to them. There are a few hold outs though. If only they knew what they were missing!

Congrats on your pregancy-I too, am expecting, but much sooner-I'm 31 weeks along with our 3rd boy! The lay out is awesome. I am too scared to write on a photo. I hate my handwriting! Did you use a guide to keep the sentences straight?

What a great layout. I love that you totally break from what is considered "traditional scrapbooking" and make it more of an art form. Kudos to you on showing us all that there are several different ways to document our stories and preserve them for our families.

Ali, for a newbie like me, how do you use the dot and roller? Is it like glue or is it more like tape? I'll have to check it out.

Very cool about the 6-pack of the Dot n Roller! I first bought it a year ago at a local store here & they tried talking me out of it. :-\ I've been using that one ever since. Love it!

I love writing in the blank space, too, and I also journal like that often. Thanks for sharing!
