My favorite mini-book is one I completed for my husband's 39th birthday where I scrapbooked 39 reasons why I love him.

I recently made a mini album out of tags about my goals for the rest of the year and love how it turned out! Today, I started making mini albums for the family for Christmas gifts and I am loving how they turned out! I can't wait to get your book Ali so that I can get inspired with new ideas! I'm always creating minis, they are my absolute favorite things to make!

I have your other books, and can't wait to see this one. I have really enjoyed reading everyone's ideas for mini books. I want to do one as a sort of countdown to our wedding. We are getting married Sept 20, and I plan to start on Sept 1. Would love to see some ideas before I put it all together.

My favorite mini book was one I created for my parents 50th wedding anniversery, which I collected 50 years of family shots. My mom loves looking at her family, and I enjoy remembering the occasions that were captured when all of us kids, spouses, and our kids were together.

By far, my favorite mini-book project is my "30 before 30" book I'm in the midst of completing. I'm 27 now and have set 30 goals to reach by the time I turn 30 years old. The mini serves as inspiration to push on towards my goals, AND it's a great way to chronicle what is important to me now and in the near future. The coolest part? The final page has all 30-items listed with a check box before each one to check as I reach my goals.
This mini has, in fact, inspired a few other projects including a 24"x24" canvas collage about running, something I was never good at but always longed to do. One of my 30 goals is to run a 5k, and the book forces me to put on my sneakers, grab my iPod, and get out 3-4 times a week to train. I'm hoping the canvas collage will be even more motivation!
It's amazing how something so mini can hold such enormous aspirations!!!

August 7th was my cousin's birthday. This was a very special birthday as she has been battling ovarian cancer and I wanted to do something to really light up her life. I live in Miami and she lives in Vancouver and I was planning on visiting her for her birthday. I decided to do a mini book for her. It was titled "Little Rays of Sunshine". I got e-mail addresses for all her friends and wrote them and asking them to help me with this surprise. I asked them them to write her a letter telling her just how special she was and how she touched their life. I also asked them to send me a picture of them alone or with her. The letters were put in envelopes that where part of the book, that way she can still share her book and keep those letters she doesn't want to share private. The end result was beyond words. I cried doing the book, she cried receiving it. It was truly and amazing experience. It filled her day with tears and laughter and she continues reading the book over and over because it brings light to her life, as it it is filled of little rays of sunshine from all the people who love her!

I made a mother's day gift which featured a nature walk. First photo was me heading into a garden in Hawaii, followed by flower and nature photos from my travels on one page and inspirational sayings on the other. It ended with a photo of my mom's garden - there's no place like home!

I just finished a mini book about a few days in Vegas with friends. My next project is about a trip to France, Spain & Morocco in 1973. Not many photos, unfortunately, but lots of memories! Would love some advice from your book ...

I just finished a summer vacation 2008 minibook. It was quick and easy because I placed the photos chronologically by date. Now I've taken it to work and showed them off to friends. It was fun and I can't wait
to do another one for Summer Vacation 2009.
Thank you Ali for inspiring us to do minis.

I just finished a mini-album for one of my best friend's 60th birthday -- I gathered fond remembrances from a group of 10 friends and incorporated their comments among my own. She LOVES purple so I used that as my base color and took off from there. The best reward was having her be totally speechless when she opened the gift.

I have been a fan of mini books for a long time and I am so excited that you are publishing a book focusing on just that subject. I really want to do a mini book on the made up words our family has used through the years, like "bingles"...any food item the kids hated when little, like onions, mushrooms and such. Food additions we don't like are still called bingles!
One of my favorite little books I've made is a gratitude book.

I have it all laid out & I can't wait to get started! I am going to be making a mini for my husband for our 3rd wedding anniversary gift. The photos are from a day spent together at the botanical gardens right before we moved & started a new life together in another town. I am actually getting more excited about putting it together now that I am writing about it here!!!
