My favorite minibook hasn't been made yet. After a trip to the zoo this weekend my boyfriend, who usually teases me (lovingly!) about my scrapbooking, is actually excited to see a book put together with the photos! He has ideas for the paper we'll use even! Can't wait to get the pictures back and start working...with his help!

I'm currently writing/designing a project called 'when you were small', including unique memories from my daughter's first two years, when she was the only child.
Things like "we would rush to the monitor to hear you talk yourself to sleep" and "you became content as I sang along to Ella Fitzgerald in the dark of night."
Photos are an afterthought in this one.

I am planning to create my first mini-book about a recent getaway to the North Sea. When sorting through the photos yesterday, I stumbled across a picture that hadn't really stood out the times I had looked at the photos before, but now unfolded the whole atmosphere of the weekend in one single moment. It just keeps popping up in my mind while I'm back to this daily grind and reminds me of everything good … not just the weekend, but the power of letting go to clear one's mind in general. I'd love to see some inspiration for this project, especially as it's my first try.
Greetings from Germany,
Johanna

I do a lot of mini-books since they seem the quickest and most effective way to keep track of special events when you've got a busy life and not a lot of time to scrap. I really like the last one I made for my sister and brother-in-law, with the pictures taken when they came to visit us in Brussels (my family is originally from France). Thanks for this opportunity to win your last book; Life Artist is still my favorite book of reference for scrapbooking but maybe this is about to change ;)

Looking forward to this book...
I have the supplies ready to go for a mini book about some of my childhood stuffed animals that I found in my mom's attic this past summer. After being in the attic for 20+ years, they were in no condition to take home, but it was fun to touch them again, laugh about them and jot down some memories about each one as I snapped a picture of them.

Your book looks great! One of my favorite mini books is one I did for my mom with photos of her through her life and places for her to fill in. She loves it too.

I just finished (last night) the cutest little mini book "7 suits of summer"....somehow my 4 year old daughter ended up with 7 swimsuits, so I did a cute album of all the suits. Sorry I have no blog or anything to share it on ;o( I really need to get with the times!!!

I'm planning a minibook to document the birth story and first moments of life of my first baby earlier this year. I want to do this in minibook format as the photos and journaling are quite personal.

my favorite mini-book was of an extended family vacation to the Bahamas- eight adults and five kids. I love the colors, the pictures, and of course, the memories.

My favorite is my Remember the Dailiness album. Inspired by the book Mittenstrings For God: Reflections for Mothers in a Hurry, it reminds me not to wait for big events to celebrate life, but instead to celebrate the little things that happen everyday. I'm currently working on a mini-book of my trip to Europe this last spring with my mother-in-law and two sisters-in-law. It's a slow process for me but it will be fun to have it all put together.

I love minibooks!
I have two that I am planning at the moment ...
The first is to record my last few days in my job - I have lots of lovely messages and memories to record and I dont want to forget them.
The second is a mini book of memories from a friends wedding
Right - off to play!

My next mini-book is about my brother....he passed away last year and asked me to do a memorial book for him to have at his "going away party". I did that and gave it to his wife and now I want a mini version for my family. He was so full of life that it will be fun to capture that in the pages and journaling!

I love making mini books...my favourite one so far...(that is a hard decision). I think the one I made about the process of my husband and I building our first home. It's a nice keepsake now that we have just moved it...I can look back on years journey of how it all began.
Congrats Ali! Wishing you a wonderful pregnancy!

I always enjoy making mini books after a familiy event and then giving it to someone who was there as a gift. I love going to their house and seeing them displayed. It makes all the effort worth it. Thanks for the new book. I am always looking for new ideas.

I have just started a mini book project called "THEN and now" Included are pictures when I was young and me now. My daughters when they were younger and now. Photos of things from the past and current favorites. It really is a fun project and tells a great story. Amazing to see the flow of life through such pictures.

Very excited about your new book. Planning a mini book on my son's costumed adventures (he loves to dress up as a fireman, policeman, lately, Indiana Jones. . . so much fun).
