Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

I am so far behind it's not even funny...I have been putting off my vacation album I think because I'm not sure shere to start! I just finished my wedding album (which took me over 3 years), but it is huge, and I don't want to make the same mistake with other albums...Anyways...That's mine, plus many, many, more

I've been putting off a childhood family album. I have a lot of the supplies I need -- I just don't want to do it wrong. My biggest fear is letting the layout overshadow the beauty of the photos! Plus, there's so much journaling to do! I've been in a time crunch lately, so the thought of a project that big -- and important -- scares me!

I've not yet been able to put together a book about the lose of our little one three and a half years ago. I have bought paper, embellishments, ribbons but alas nothing has been created. I found my stash of goodies over the weekend and started planning how to go about this album. I am at peace and feel that now is the time to tackle this project.

I have been putting off a couple of things to work on my life album. I've only completes 3 pages of my wedding album, and I want to do an album for my husband. I'm not sure of the format or size I want to use for his, so I'm keep putting it off. My life album has been helping me through some personal issues, I have been setting goals, I just recently started college, b/c I came to terms with what I was unhappy about. Not furthering my education. I think I want to become an art therapist, and scrapping is why!
your very inspirational to me, by the way. Congrats on the new baby :)

I saw this great idea in the CK magazine about doing a scrapbook all about me. Documenting my life story, my hopes, my thoughts, etc. I have been putting it off waiting for the right photos of me. (I have almost none!) Waiting for the right situation, the "right" thoughts to come, the correct patterned paper, a cute album, etc! It's so easy to scrap about my daughter, my life overseas, my husband, etc. Now I just have to put aside my hesitation and do this project. (i'm actually really excited to scrap about myself)

I've been putting off an on-line class I'm taking at the moment. Due to other scrapping assignments, that I had to prioritise, I have gotten behind. And that feels hard. But I hope to sit down and catch up a little tomorrow. *fingers crossed*

I've been putting off doing lay-outs about my twins very premature birth and subsequent 3 month stay in the hospital. Don't know how to articulate my feelings on this or which photos to use - they were in incubators and covered with tubes, wires and bandages. I struggle with this one - I suppose I just have to try!

I've been putting off an altered book/scrapbook about my dad. I decided I needed to get started after he had a mild stroke a month ago. I don't want the book to be a memorial I want it to be a gift to him to celebrate his life.

Oh yeah, this is really something! A project I've been putting off is a memory album about my mother who passed away 11 years ago. It is hard to scrap it, don't have many pictures and don't know how to best do it justice and be most satisfied with it. But maybe I'll get started if I win one of these albums :)

Let's see...I have been putting off getting my older pics into some sort of order to scrap. When my little guy was born I got pretty behind ~ now I have stacks of pics to organize and scrap. I was thinking some kind of mini with just my favorite pics from that crazy time would be perfect. Thanks for the chance to win!

Thank you for the give away chances. I have been putting off finishing a mini album of my 3 children, when they were babies. Hoping to get back to it soon.
Thank you again for sharing your inspiration.

I have been putting off my honeymoon photos. Not truly sure why - probably want it to be perfect - which I have to let go of.
I love the clear albums, so much you can do with them. And as the recent owner of the square punch I am itching to use it with clear albums!

I have been putting off finishing my grown sons 12x12 albums from childhood to graduation because now that the grandchildren have come along, I just can't stop taking photos and making lots of mini albums for them!

I have been putting off for several years a layout dedicated to my sister who passed away from breast cancer at the age of 39 in 1995. I found a 35mm negative of a photo she keep tucked away in a jewelry box. Had it printed and it's a beach landscape, it must have been important to her but I don't know why. I want to convey in the layout how we were best friends but how there was also a mystery about her that I'll never know - but everytime I start the layout I become so emotional I just put it back away. I'm taking it with me to a November scrapbook weekend and hopefully I will gather the strength to complete it.

I've been putting off doing my daughters sweet 16th birthday album. I don't know why. Maybe because I want it to be just right. And I usually do alot of mini albums and this on is going to be a 12X12. Alot more space to fill. Scary!

I've been putting off scrapping a lot of things. I got really inspired by one of your books and several of your articles, and one of Donna Downey's books. I have purchased supplies, but not printed pictures for several projects - printer's tray, Bo-Bunny word albums, and a fabric art project where my son drew our family. I also have a really big book project that I want to do with pictures I took at my son's Montessori school. I really need to make time for these projects. Keep inspiring us! I love your style.

hi there, ali --
those albums are so cute! i admired your easter mini when i first saw it. i took lots of photos this summer -- i took pictures every day of the summer of each of my three boys. i have lots of great shots and think that i really captured the "feel" of our summer -- but now i am awash in photos. am kind of stuck with all the photos. i want to make a mini of our summer before we are overtaken with fall! i would love one of these minis to give a little jumpstart to my summer mini project. thanks for all the inspiration.
