Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

I still need to scrapbook last winter's photographs. I made lots with the idea to make a winter album. But then winter depression set in and the pictures are still lying around. I did make our summer holiday album in a whif and a sigh!

I have so many ideas swirling around about what I want to scrap. I need to concentrate on one project at a time. My goal is to start a mini album about our summer-I vow not to leave it until next summer!!! Love your blog

I hava lots of projects I am actually putting off, but the one I keep always saying to myself I NEED to do is my first son baby album! I already have the pictures and the album but I just can't find those "WOW" papers to fit with them...

I've been putting off my own childhood. Limited pictures, as well as badly taken pictures, makes for a rather difficult project. I keep delaying it to find some inspiration and direction to take it.

I've been putting off finishing about 4 albums that I have started because it is so much more fun to start something new!

Actually right now there isn't much in the line of scrapbooking I've been putting off. However I just purchased an SLR camera and I've been putting off learning photoshop because it intimidates the heck out of me!

I have been putting off trying an acrylic album. I purchased everything to try one, but because it is a new technique for me, I have been procrastinating trying it. I'm also in the middle of my husband divorcing me and have not had the inspiration or creative drive that I had prior to his announcing that he wanted a divorce. I'm finally starting to do things "just for me" and am hoping to start feeling more inpired soon, I'm sure sitting down in my scraproom would help me relax and feel more like myself again...

My wedding album--for 9 years. I feel so much pressure to make it "right" or "look perfect."

I have been putting off my engagement album from last year....although in my defense the wedding itself did keep me a little busy most of this year!! I am hoping to finish it off in the next month or two...

I'm putting off a layout about my new cube at work, because I'm traveling for 8 weeks coming up and time is limited even though i really want to do this layout!

Thinking about but not diving into an ablum for my father's 75th....ideas abound.. Thinking of calling it 'because' with the tag line I love you because.... then each child/grandchild would give a reason - documented on one side of album with an accompanying photo of the person on the other. I know my son's reason would be 'I love you b/c you make great french toast. Nervous I won't get the whole families participation and that I won't be able to get everyone's photo in time for the Nov event.

I've been putting off the baby albums-never found products I've liked. I just ordered Becky's kit though. I think having the pockets for the big stuff and all the coordinating papers, etc. will motivate me to get them done.

I've been putting off working on the Disney album from last December. I have so many ideas and thoughts about it, but I'm hung up on making sure it will look 'just right'. My style has evolved greatly since that time and I'm not sure I love what I've already done. So I keep delaying working on it.

Gosh, I actually have e unfinished projects that are so meaningful, but I have been putting off completing them...1 is an album I started 7 years ago, yes 7! My husband put an addition on our house and I am making a tribute album about all his hard work. The other is also for my husband, it was a Father's Day gift about 4 years ago that I just never finished putting all the pictures in. The last is a mini album about a trip my now 11 year old son and I took to Savannah in 2005. We flew together and spent 5 wonderful days with my brother and his family. It was a special trip that I will always remember, and I want him to remember too!

How generous - I would LOVE one of these sets! I have been putting off starting my 2 sons' scouting albums. I wanted to make it all look cohesive, so I want to have the "master plan" before I begin. (Now I am just waiting for the inspiration). ~Tanya

I've been putting off starting my dd's baby album. She's 3 already and my last child. I'm so into just living the moment with her instead of scrapbooking it.

I have been putting off an album for a trip to Disney we took in 2003 with our only child at the time. I think I haven't done it b/c we used a film camera at the time and didn't get doubles printed, so in my mind I have exactly one shot to get it right. I need to get off my butt and do it though as we are going back to Disney with our, now, 3 kids.
