Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

I have been putting off Christmas. I bought a beautiful album to inspire me, but there are so many pictures and the thought of Christmas just does not inspire me! At Christmas time I am more inspired but too busy!!Ahhhh!!

I've been putting off Christmas cards. Every year I'm the first one to finish... first one to send... first one to receive. I think it's upsetting some people to get my card at THANKSGIVING!! So, this year... I'm waiting until Thanksgiving to start! Instead I've decided to hand make all Christmas gifts this year. So that is what I'm working on, and the albums would be a great additions!
Thanks for the opportunity to win!

I've been putting off finishing a heritage album. It's a big project and that turns me off. I do well with small, quick projects, but big projects lose my attention before they are done.

I have been putting off scrapbooking a trip our family took to Mexico earlier this year. The reason is because it is going to be digital and I haven't yet worked with any digital scrapbooking. i really love paper scrapbooking and when I have time that is what I want to be doing. A friend of mine is a consultant for Heritage Makers and for a number of reasons I choose to sign up for a book through her, and this is the project. I am planning for October to be the month to do it. As hard and frustrating as it is to start, I am looking forward to learning digital scrapbooking.

I have been putting off doing an album or mini-book about my mom for years. She died 9 years ago, and I have wanted to do an album about her ever since.
My kids are 6 and 4 years old, and I really want to have a book about my mom to use to teach them about her ... but I can't make myself do the book. I think the reason is because it's so emotional, and also because I want it to convey so MUCH and be so WONDERFUL, like she was.
I know I need to get over that and just do something, because that will be better than nothing! Maybe just writing about it here will inspire me to get moving on it ... (I hope so!)

I have completed all the 12 x 12 albums I want to do and intend for all future albums to be small. The album I have been putting off is Christmas Through the Years, where I plan to use my own children's photos together with photos of their children.
Thanks for making this generous offer....even more generous since you will need to compile all these name and addresses. :-)

Hi,
I afraid of doing an acrylic album. I have some great beach pictures but was unsure about the adhesive issue. I might have to give paint a try.

I have been postponing starting an album about DH and DS through DS's whole life. They are inseparable from baby to kid sports to working together as adults and I guess I want it to be so special I am afraid to start, I have bought 3 different paper lines and who knows how many albums and still haven't started......somebody give me a shove!! LOL

Sadly, all projects have been put off since we just moved into a new house. I can't wait for things to get settled so I can start scrapbooking again.

Here's the sad reality - I am putting off everything! I am paralyzed by the quantity (and general lack of organization) of my photos. Trying to get back to small projects - not just looking at the overwhelming big picture (pun not intended.) The paint adhesive/acrylic album combo - wow! How much fun is that!?

This is terrible...I know...I've been putting of journaling in my daugther's baby album...she's 7 now. I always wanted to make it perfect by using my computer to do my journaling. I didn't like my own handwriting. Of course I never have had "enough time" to do all this work on the computer. I think now I'm finally brave enough to just write in it....hopefully I haven't forgotten everything!

I started working on a class kit where I wasn't able to attend the class. I'm stuck on a page where I have to put the picture down first before I can add the other papers to finish off the page. I guess I just don't take enough pictures or have enough on any subject to add pictures to anything.

Hi Ali,
I have been putting off doing an album with photos from my daughter's recent wedding. I want to make the album be as classy as possible, yet with my own touch. So, I contemplate . . .
I love your mini Easter book. I'm sure Simon likes these minis to peruse at his leisure and without an abundance of photos or information - just for him.
Great giveaway - I sure hope I win. I'm planning to take my family to Wine Country in Southern Missouri and would love to do a mini book with those acrylic pages . . .
