Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

I've been putting off finishing an album of our vacation to the east coast in 2005. I started it right after I got into scrapbooking and haven't finished because I'm not sure that I did a good enough job on what I've already done. I want the pages to flow together.

there are two major projects i've been putting off--1. my wedding album (and it's been 3 years--yikes!) b/c i feel like it needs to be 'perfect'-whatever that means. and 2. an album from my trip to uganda this summer working with orphans--there's a lot of emotion from that trip that i still haven't processed!

I have been putting off all of my "old" photos (pictures of me as a child, etc.) and I don't really know why. Part of it is that all of the photos aren't in great shape and I am one to really highlight the photos. I know that's just an excuse, because the story behind the photos is what's important!

I have been putting off doing an album of all of my grandmother's pictures. I've always wanted to do a heritage album, but can't get motivated and creatively inspired to start it!

I've been putting off a mini album of my trip to Florida this past April. I brought a 'ready' album with me that I did the basics of at home before I left (from your inspiration) but it was a busier trip than expected so I didn't do much there... and it ended up being a picture heavy trip. I'm having trouble pairing it down. But I need to do it. I want to do it. Thanks for reminding me about it!

Honestly, I have not been putting off anything. I really don't make a list of things I need to scrap. I just get inspired and then scrap away. This way it stays fun for me and not overwhelming...no pressure! Lovin' those clear albums.

Oh, my goodness. Unfinished projects? Coincidentally, I just made a list this week. I have a ton of stuff to complete, from a half done album of a trip to Italy in 1999 to a printers drawer that I just bought a couple of weeks ago.
I have perfection paralysis that holds me back. I'm trying to conquer it, really I am! LOL

I've been putting off my DD's Disney album for 6 years now - reason being, I took her photos with film and I don't really like how washed out and blah the colors are :( so I don't feel inspired to scrap them.
Now that I think about it, add to my list DD and DS baby and pre-school photos :( simply because I am prioritizing current photos and I can never seem to find the time to fit these photos in :(

I have a couple of mini albums that require very small photos. Since it's more work to print out smaller versions of my 4X6 regular sized, I keep putting it off.

Graduation layouts for my daughter who graduated in 2006. I think I just don't want to think about how fast she grew up and how far away she is now...

i have put off scrapping period. not really by choice- just have so much else to do. and I just have not been in the mood for all the mess. i do not have a dedicated scrapspace. just a dedicated storage space- so sometimes the thought of pulling everythin out makes me cringe and do something else.
but I have all these jenni bowlin kits that are just screaming at me to make something. i have considered quitting my subscription. but I love LOVE getting my kit in the mail each month!!!
Thanks for the giveaway fun.

The album I've actually been putting off (v. just not finding time to play with) is an acrylic album -- I planned to print pictures of a Chihuly exhibit on transparencies and put them in an acrylic album (get it - glass, transparencies, acrylic??) -- but the pictures haven't really turned out well on transparency. So my concept is "off" .... and I'm thinking on a new concept!

I'm very busy with two classes at BPS, so although I'm scrapping 1-2 hours a day (a record for me!) I'm putting off working on two gift mini albums for our friends who invited us to their cabin at the lake on Labor Day weekend. The photos are printed, the paper is chosen and I have all the embellies I need. Truthfully, this would only take me about 3 hours to complete. So why am I not doing it? Okay, today's the day. I'll get started right after breakfast!

i've been putting off doing an album on my Mom. She passed away 3 years ago from cancer and i find it very difficult to do anything other than look at the photographs of her.
