Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

Tidying up my coursework for Jessica and Liv's class over at the Spraground for the Type+Writer Class - Why? Truth be told, I don't want it to end it is THAT good. Getting in touch with using the words that speak the emotion - something I am reminded of everytime I see your work. Thanks for the inspiration. ~Monda

Our trip to NYC. We had so much fun and saw so much. I don't think I will do it justice. It was our first vacation in almost 8 years and it meant so much.

I've been putting off anything having to do with my Mother who passed away several years ago. We had a very strained relationship for many years and only after her death have I come to realize many of the "whys" and forgive. It's too painful but definitely something I NEED to do.

I've been putting off starting my baby's baby book and he'll be 8 months old on Sunday! Gosh, where did those 8 months go? Luckily, I've been jotting things down along the way, but I really need to get started. I haven't even finished my older 2's baby albums either so its a little overwhelming to me that need to get all 3 done!!!
Have a great night...love your sample album :)

Um, all of 2007? LOL I just started digital layouts and I'm still so new at it that I'm very slow. I still need to work through my paper stash because I love "real" layouts but it's so much messier than digital. I might have to clean off my desk to get anything done, it's piled with clothes to be mended and stuff to be filed away. Thanks for the chance to win!

I want to do a mini album or project of some sort about my adoption and reunion story, but have yet to because I don't know quite what I want to say about it. Who it is for, who will see it, what I want people to know? Too many questions about it.

I've been putting off scrapbooking my parents two cruise trips they have taken the last two years. Kind of a daunting task when they hand you an external hard drive with 1000's of photos!!!

I have been putting off a memorial mini-book about my Grandpa. Why? I'm a paralyzed perfectionist. I'm afraid to start because I want it to be just right...and I'm not sure what that is.

I've been putting off high school graduation layouts for my twins - it's only been 1 1/2 years. It's such a big accomplishment and a turning point.

I've been putting off my Halloween album. The photos just aren't speaking to me. I need to focus more on the process, I think. I love the creating and sewing part, but that doesn't come through in the "finished product" photos.

Ive been putting off 2 things. One: my youngest's birthday album. I've finished the two oldests' and I'm just tired of scrapping b-day photos. At least he is only 4 and I've been scrapping since before he was born, so I have better pictures and written down details. The second is my two oldests' school albums. One is in 9th and one in 7th. I can even begin to think about organizing photos, report cards and art work! Cool albums! Thanks Ali!

I've got a truckload of Disney pictures from last year waiting to be made into an album. I promised I'd get them done before our next trip, and that is only 3 weeks away. It's overwhelming to start a big project like that.
Thank for the opportunity to win, Ali!
