Clear Scraps Giveaway
Tags:Today's giveaway is sponsored by Clear Scraps. They recently generously donated some product for an upcoming benefit class/make + take I am doing in Southern Oregon. These are my four favorite products in their clear mini-book line-up:
6x6 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
All Mixed-Up (6 pages, 3 ring)
Scalloped Square Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
8x8 Tab Album (5 pages, 3 ring)
Here's a recent minibook I did that was featured in my Studio A column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine using the Scalloped Square Album:
Notice the square punch + corner rounder again?
For this album I used paint as an adhesive. I ran the outer edges of the squares through some paint and laid them down onto the acrylic. It definitely smears as you push it down, but that was part of the fun. I used much more paint on the transparent pieces and less on the photos (the photos are backed with other photos allowing me to adhere them to the acrylic album).
[ supplies : album: Clear Scraps; transparencies: Hambly Studios; paint and tiny alpha letter stickers: Making Memories, "the easter egg is pretty:" vintage ]
I have two sets of these four albums to giveaway. To be entered into the drawing leave a comment below and let me know what layout/project have you been putting off and why. Comments will be closed today (Thursday) at 5pm Pacific and the winners announced shortly after.

I have been putting off an album celebrating my relationship with my husband. We have been married for 10 years+ and together for 16! There is such a long time span that I am finding it difficult to even know where to start! Besides 1992!

I love your questions, Ali! I have been and am still putting off scrapbooking my wedding from 2002. The reason? Mostly that I'm overwhelmed and a little nervous about doing it "wrong." I know that there's not really any right or wrong way to scrapbook, and I usually do well quieting that internal critic with other projects.
But the wedding? That's big, dude. Really big.
Maybe this year...

All the kit pages and mini book kits I buy. I just keep putting them away for that "rainy" day when I have creative block but want to create. But I know I either have to stop buying them or start making them. There's just so much that I want to make, there's so much inspiration (like your blog) that gives me so many ideas to make now.

There's a bunch of projects I've been putting off like our trips to Disneyland, Europe, Martha's Vineyard, Washington DC, etc. I just can't get myself motivated to work on these albums.

We took a couple of trips last year that I have completed the layouts, but I haven't done the journaling... I am having writer's block and that journaling is definitely hanging over my head.

I have been putting off my son's senior album. He graduated in 2007 and I just sit and stare at all his stuff. I even took a BPS class to complete a senior album. Still nothing........

My little family, son, daughter and myself deserve an album celebrating our life after divorce. Unfortunately I have not been able to do that - yet. Afterall, my son is 23 and I have been divorced for 21 years, I only put it off for a "little bit", but we have much to celebrate and we have been so blessed and I need to document that.
Thank you for the opportunity to win the albums!

Hi, Ali...
I've been putting off making mini albums for family members in memory of our wife, mom, grandmother (Eileen) who went to heaven on 2/11/08.
I've collected so many supplies that I almost feel paralyzed as to where to start, and I want the albums to be true to Mom's taste, which was simple and uncluttered. She wasn't a "frou-frou" sort of girl. As Mom herself said, shortly before her death,
I'm a "gatherer," - love, love, love, looking at and buying all the supplies, but then when I am sitting there looking at them, I feel overhelmed and don't know where to begin - plus the old feelings of it I can't do it perfetly, I shouldn't do it at all kick in.
I'd love to win this collection to jump start some of my efforts. I really love the clear acrylic. I think it's added a really neat dimension to stamping; thanks for the opportunity to win!
Bsst,
Linda

There are so many things I'd like to do and have ideas for. I should make a list! Wedding, birthdays, mini album about my mom, about our house, about our first house... the list just goes on and on. I've only been scrapping for 2 years, so I've got 16+ years worth of photos to catch up on! Thanks for the giveaway! :)

I have been putting off my pregnancy/NICU album for over a year now - I started it, and now it's just sitting there with a stack of memorabillia. I have so many stories swirling in my head, and I really feel like I need to get them down on paper before I'm really at peace with them. I had a very difficult pregnancy and our son was born very prematurely. Happily, he's a very healthy little boy today despite the many issues he previously encountered.
A "normal" pregnancy is kind of a loss I need to mourn and I really think that album would help...
Thanks for making me think of it again - and for the amazing giveaway!

I agreed to create a wedding album for my brother-in-law as a wedding gift...totally putting it off b/c it's going to take a lot of time and energy and in the end...I don't even get to keep it to look at.
I'm feeling lucky today though...hopefully I win... motivating me to start on their album.

I would love these acrylic albums! I am putting off finishing a book I am making for my sister's wedding. It won't be hard, but I am just procrastinating. But, a new fun product might get my creative juices flowing.

Oh, how fun! I have so been wanting some acrylic albums and have been quite scared to use them actually. I suppose that is one project I want to do, but keep putting off because I don't quite know how to use them and am a little bit intimidated to do it. I love them and think that they are so cool, but I don't want to mess them up. It's sillly, I know, but oh well. Maybe if I win this giveaway, I will finally be pushed to just make an album!
Another project I keep putting off is doing more of my son's album. I have sooooo many pictures and i don't know how I could ever chose some to scrapbook. I love all of them! I know I can't use all of them though, or it would be like hundreds of pages long and he is only 18 months old!

I've been putting off doing a project about myself. Doing a project about myself means I'll have to to be the focus of attention and that makes me uncomfortable. I'm hoping I'll get over it and start the project soon.
