To the bus driver as he boarded yesterday morning: "Shelia! Shelia! Guess what? The earth is moving!"
To us: "I am going to have a sister and her name is Cousin Lucy."
[ And just to clarify, Lucy is the name of Simon's cousin. His sister will have a different name. He just likes her so much that he wants her to have the same name. It has become a game for him + he laughs so hard when he tells us this will be his sister's name. ]
Cool giveaway coming bright + early Thursday morning.

Good thing you can print out your blogs. I've been trying to remember to write down things like that. When I was pregnant with my last baby, my then 5 year old was convinced that it was a girl and her name was Hailey. You should have seen his face at the hospital when he found out it was a boy (we didn't find out before giving birth). This time (I'm due NOv. 6) he and his brothers want it to be a boy and he thinks it should be named Elliot or Luke (Skywalker). We don't know what this one is either, so hopefully he won't be disappointed if it is a girl or as a boy it is not Elliot or Luke!

What about Lucinda! Happy Medium. Precious Moments. We chose 20 names we loved and put them in a bucket and let our 2 yr old choose her name Isabella.

I bet it was a thrill for Simon to meet the Storm Troopers up close. How awesome! Lucy is a nice name, just don't want Simon to get his cousin and sister mixed up.

That's so cute! When I was pregnant with my second DS, my oldest was a little jealous and suggested we call the new baby "Ketchup". He thought it was hilarious until I suggested we change his name to "Mustard" to match.

My folks named my brother Ken, I called him Brian and introduced him as Brian to anyone who would listen. I was 4 at the time and finally got over it and called him Ken. My Mom had no idea where I got the idea to call him Brian.

So cute!
I was born at the hospital (not common in Holland, they do a lot of homebirth here) and was in room with a bunch of other baby's. My brother point his finger against the window of that room and said: Let's take this one! (And it was me!) LOL!

Congratulations! This brought back a nice memory for me! All during my second pregnancy my daughter would point to my belly and say "that's Jenni in there!" (We were planning a different name...) When the baby was born, my 2 1/2 year old daughter and niece were skipping through the delivery room "it's Jenni! Jenni's here! Our Jenni's here!" So Jenni she became. How could we not?

my nephew has a half sister named Izabella. Now my sister is pregnant with her new partner and he is determined that this sister should be Izabella too. It's hilarious.
I asked him if maybe if the new baby was a girl could we call it Kassie and he looked at me and said "duh, we already have one of you!"
