At first thought, I am not looking forward to much... everything gets so crazy! But, realistically, I can be in control of our activities and craziness.....
SO- I am looking forward to a PEACEFUL holiday season. And watching the kids on Christmas morning--- nothing beats that!

Decorating my home because I collect snowman cookie jars and love to see all their unique faces when I bring them out in December. I'm also looking forward to doing some fun crafts and lots of home made gifts for friends this year.

As a teacher, I am most looking forward to some time away from school to be creative. I am planning my December Daily project now so that I can try to enjoy the moments of December as they take place.
Thanks for the inspiration!

This year I've promised myself to spend more time "being" rather than "doing." I'm going to shop, decorate, cook, give, etc. as simply as possible and spend all the extra time being with friends and family. In fact, that sounds so good, I think I'll begin today!

the thing I'm most excited for is my parents coming to visit. They (and my whole family) live in Ontario and we live in Arizona so i'm VERY excited to have the company!

I am most looking forward to my kids spending Christmas with my parents. It's been six years since we have celebrated with any family, we're finally station close enough for them to come to our home.

I love to wrap presents and put handmade tags on them. I get all into the right wrapping and tag to make the gift extra special. I also love sending packages to those I won't see at Christmas. I find all kinds of little goodies to put in the box to make it fun to open along with a gift card in a specially made box.

I look forward to playing Christmas music while decorating our tree with our odd ball collected ornaments from our travels, friends, family, etc. Each ornament has a story and it's a flood of wonderful memories to share with my family!

My favourite thing about the holidays is the coziness in the house, everybody is in 'partymode' And the time spend with my family, especially with my grandmothers.
Because it gets dark early, my mom often lights candles in the livingroom, which makes it a little more special

This year my husband will be leaving Dec. 14th to go back to Iraq. So, he is going to be gone for Christmas. However, I will be moving up to Portland to stay with my parents while he is gone. I am looking forward to making this Christmas as special as I can for my 4 kids under 4. With their dad gone, I really want to do alot of crafts, decorate over the top, and bake a ton. I have already started my December Daily Album. I also did the week in your life, however, I am doing a month in our life. You can check it out on my blog. www.onegirlandthreeboys.blogspot.com

I am soooo looking forward to pulling all of our Christmas books down from the shelves, to cups of hot chocolate by the fireplace, to curling up on the couch with my kids and reading, reading, reading!

I'm most looking forward to the times of togetherness and traditions--making new ones and keeping with the old. I look forward to seeing the true meaning of Christmas become so much more of a reality as each of my boys are another year older--they grasp so much more each year.

I love the whole holiday season but sometimes it can be overwhelming & stressful. I'm looking forward to being a bit better prepared this year so that I can slow down and spend time "in the moment" with my children, doing simple but heart-warming activities such as baking cookies, reading a Christmas story or making decorations. I'm planning on keeping a December Daily journal - it will be such a lovely thing to have and look back on in years to come! Thanks for the inspiration & the giveaway!

Favorite is always putting the tree up! I love plugging the lights in and seeing the glow all around the room, hanging the ornaments on one and a time and stepping back every few minutes to admire it. Love it!

having the kids decorate the tree. we have a nine foot tree and the boys are 5 and 3, so the decorations make it about half way up the tree. last year we decided to leave it that way instead of fixing it after they went to bed.
