I love that you are planning for the holidays already! I am a huge fan of the fall-winter season and look forward to Christmas every year. It is such a beautiful holiday - the twinkle lights, the smell of cookies and pine trees, carols, and the merriness that comes with spending time with your family!

I always look forward to holiday routines like making gingerbread houses, decorating the tree, more cocoa than usual, secret pal swaps, etc. But this year I'm especially looking forward to the holidays because my sister is going to be flying in from Japan. She is in the Navy (as is my husband and my little brother for that matter) and it's been nearly two years since I've seen her. And with our change of duty rotations I might not see her again for a long while after that. (who knows where we'll all end up each time we take new location orders.) So this Christmas season will be extra lovely and fun. We plan to play lots of board/card games, have snacks, and just enjoy ourselves during her visit!

I'm looking forward to a wonderful family Christmas with my daughter before she leaves for Thailand to study for 6 months. She is taking this fall term off prior to leaving and I look forward to many Christmas activities (baking, decorating, volunteering)with her.

Spending time with family after not seeing them for two years. I am so looking forward to seeing their faces, in person, and being able to give and get hugs after so long.

I made my December Daily album yesterday (1st one!) and I am so excited to participate in this project. I would love to win the goodies to jazz mine up a bit...I exclusively used what I had but it could use a bit of additional embellishment. Thank you for doing this!

I am most looking forward to seeing Christmas through my children's eyes this year, for different reasons: This will probably be the first Christmas where my son "gets" the idea behind Christmas and where my daughter understands the idea BEYOND Christmas, which is the joy of not just giving but GIVING OF YOURSELF. I intend to take her volunteering somewhere or doing something that shows her that Christmas isn't just about religion or spirituality or gifts; it's also about a state of mind, much of which would best serve the world were it continued throughout the year.
Congratulations on your blog rating, Ali.
    Blessings & Peace.

I would have to say my favorite things about the season are getting together with family and watching our 4 year old son be excited and amazed that Santa came and ate some of the cookies he left!

Making gingerbread for the first time and hanging colored, see-through christmas tree balls in my window – I saw this as a decoration at a local childrens' clothes' store last year and loved it!

I am so looking forward to Christmas this year. My Marine will be home for part of the holidays and we can not wait to celebrate with him. Everything we do(family gatherings, skate on state, feed the hungry) will be well documented so that I can send him back out on his way with wonderful memories in the form of small portable albums. This year we have a change in the game plan. There will be a combintation of holidays and we will celebrate "THANKSMAS"

    Ali,
I love the look of these kits. I have several ideas in my head for my Dec. daily album and I think one of these will be helpful!!!
I am really looking forward to being at home over the holidays. I know Christmas usually means hustle and bustle, but for me it's time to just be at home!!
    Thanks,
    Amy

My favorite part of the holidays are the quiet moments spent with my family. Curled up on the couch watching a Christmas special and drinking hot cocoa with the tree lights twinkling!

This year my husband will be deployed. So Christmas will have a slight depressed side. On the up side, I can't wait to see the excitment in my children's faces.
