2009 Words

Ali,
I can't thank you enough for what all your effort and what you do on your blog! You can reach so many readers and inspire so many people in so many ways and you are absolutely doing it.... thank you.
This is the second year that I'm choosing the word to focus on. For 2008, it was PEACE and for 2009, I choose JOY. Joy is not the same as pleasure and Joy is purposely choosen as a state of being regardless of the circumstances that surrounds.... Hence, I will try my best to constantly choose JOY!

I chose "consistency", but there were several words I could choose. My schedule gets really busy and I don't take time to scrapbook. I need to schedule in time so there can be consistency and I will see progress.

I think I'm going to go with READ. I love to read my Bible and books in general and since I've had kids I have gotten out of the habbit. I spend way more time on the computer (now that I discovered blogger and facebook) than I would like to and really want to get back to reading.

hey ali,
my word for this year is 'fierce'. i'm just going to be more fierce in every aspect. i'm going to tackle my dreams and goals, be passionate in my relationships, really dive head first into my creative projects and just be all in.

Wow! What an inspirational list. My word for the new year is : Follow-through.
I have tons of things I need to complete and I need to focus on following through with the things that I start!

I love this list - thanks for sharing. My word is 'nourish' - similar to your 'nurture' but a slightly different nuance. I really need to nourish myself in several important ways this year, and to nourish the vital relationships in my life.

I'm always so inspired by your posts. ( I've never posted on anyone's blog before.)
I have three 5-year-olds that are growing up very quickly, so I've chosen TREASURE as my word for this year.

i was reading down the list, hoping to be inspired, but it was in your previous post which did it. the word fulfilled jumped off the page for me. and so i choose the word fulfill for 2009. it seems to put the focus more on choosing the right choices for mein order to be fulfilled and not just accomplishing a laundry list of goals.

My word for this year is declutter. Declutter my home, my life, my body. Get rid of anything that isn't improving my quality of life, remove anything that isn't making me the best I can be. Thanks for another great year of blogging! All the best for 2009!

I changed my word after much thought....
Mine is PLAY
I love how it makes me stop and ask my kids (and myself) "What do you want to play when we get home?"
It reminds me not to worry so much, too.

I have 2 words this year.
Organized - I want to be more organized my life, my suroundings and in myself.
Preserve - Preserve memories, everyday happenings in scrapbooking and also making preserves to preserve the abundent wonderful fruit and vegetables we have around us for the year!

ATTITUDE - this as final choice came to me when I happened across this quote by Charles Swindoll - how true!
"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it.
