As Simon has been saying over and over, "I am so glad she's here."
We made the transition from hospital to home on Friday afternoon and spent the rest of the weekend just hanging out. Thank you so much for all the well-wishes and kind words. We are all really just so excited.
Lots of getting to know you moments. So far she is quite the little sleeper and quite the nurser - her two favorite activities. She is also really good at snuggling.
Simon is super protective of her. He makes sure to let me know that she needs help and gets very concerned when she appears to be in distress. Chris and I have had lots of "shared-look" moments as we watch Simon talk to her, tell her about whatever is on his mind at the moment, and show her his toys.
Keeping it very low key this week. Working on healing myself as I learn all about this sweet girl. Feeling really good overall (the meds definitely help this along) and taking things as easy as I can.

I felt so much better this time around (#4) because I really just took it easy.

she is beautiful! I have been thinking about and praying for you. If you are going to do a "watch me grow" monthly picture with a stuffed animal, blanket or chair, don't forget to snap your shot now that you are home for the "just born" pic. One month will be here before you know it.

oh, oh, oh!! How precious! My son is 7 months old now (I was one of the pregnant women in your CKU class in Chicago) and my 2 year old always tells me, "he's crying." Like, do something! I love watching them interact and you have a lot to look forward to. Glad everything is going well. Thanks for the photos!
