I love the connection, the bond between Simon and Anna. I'll tell you, from our experience, I think that becoming a big brother will be *the best* thing to happen to Simon EVER. You will see him grow in leaps and bounds in the coming weeks, months and years. Having a younger sibling will provide him with love and companionship, but also with many learning opportunities that he would have never had. And believe me, it's a two-way street... Anna will learn so much from Simon as well.

Ali, I am a blog fan of yours and I have to say, your little girl is just gorgeous. Having only seen a few photos of your mom in books/blog stuff, I am struck by how much your baby girl looks like your mom! :) SO neat. Thanks for sharing the photos.

She's beautiful

One of the wisest things I did for my eldest child was to explain to her that her baby sister looks to her as a teacher and watches to learn everything she sees. This turned the territorial temperment of my oldest as her younger sister was becoming mobile and into her space into an attitude of, wow, she adores me and wants to learn everything from me. It helped her trust her younger sibling to play with her and not feel threatened that her toy would be taken.
I know this bit of unsolicited advice comes way to early, but for some reason seeing Simon and hearing of his adoration of his sister took me back to that love of the newborn by a sibling to when the tide turned and there were some difficult adjustment times.

Anna is absolutely beautiful - she looks a lot like her mama :)

Oh my goodness! Anna is so adorable and Simon looks to be a proud big brother. It's so fun to see how the older siblings react to the new little on, isn't it? That butterfly outfit (2nd photo) is super cute. I love butterflies! :) Again, congratulations to the entire family.
