Memory

[ July 2008 : Oregon Coast : Remember Word Art ]

Last night, after everyone had gone to bed and I was still up working on my column, I was struck once again as I was going through photos from 2008 at the wonder of life. I saw images of myself and our family over the course of the year as we all grew and changed and got ready to welcome person number four.

Photos really are one of my personal treasures. I feel so very lucky to be able to take photos, even the imperfect ones (which I happen to enjoy even more at times), and to document the way in which we live our lives.

So many memories captured as the shutter simply clicks away. Moments frozen in time.

It's time to get printing once again.

Thanks Julie - Lily is great. She is seriously the best dog...very, very gentle (with a very loud + mean bark for the benefit of the UPS man who she would then begin to lick affectionately once the door was opened).

OMGosh I love love love Michelle's book!!! I so want to make these for both my kids. But I am so sad, I have no clue how to do anything related to digital scrapbooking! Maybe I should at least get their first years printed out in a standard shutterfly book but I so love the idea of being able to add a few little extras! At any rate - thanks for sharing - I'm feeling motivated to do SOMETHING with the gazillion photos I take...!

Love the quote on your photo! Ali you are an inspiration in so many ways. Simplicity, genuine(ness), and love. By the way, who is Kevin Arnold, do you know?

Glad to see that so many "real" people check in here to see how you and each other find the balances. I laughed at someone with the 2000 photos from one year (I have about 6500 - oops). But I'm good at printing and using them for my scrapping, blogging and sharing with family a block away and a country away.
    Thanks for all you share.

I'm not sure and I'm sure Ali will answer your question but I think its Kevin Arnold from The Wonder Years tv show (excellent, excellent show). I could be wrong though....

It is the little things that feel so good to remember! Scrapping helps me with that so much!
