I am working on living my life right now rather than putting things off until things are "just right." I am trying to focus more on the things that make me happy, like being creative, while focusing less on the things that don't make me happy. So far this seems to be bringing more of the "happy" into my life. Looks like I just needed to be more open to the things I want out of life.

I've been trying to get a jump start on Christmas gifts for this year, so I've been making mini albums with pictures from Christmas 2008. It's nice to do it when you're not under holiday pressure and when the memories are still somewhat fresh!

Craftwise - I made a new spring wreath for my front door and am starting what I'm calling a heart of my hearts album about my husband and son as we start preparing for our daughter's arrival this summer. Personally, I'm trying to be diligent about making it to the gym so that I and this little one growing with me stay healthy and strong. Have made it four times this week which is a new record!

My resolution for 2009 has been keeping me busy! My goal was to make a resolution I could actually fulfill and keep up with. So, I vowed to make three resolutions at the start of every month. I'm working toward getting myself "where I want to be" by 2010 so it can be an amazing year. I am totally due for one! There are a lot of things I wanted to work on, many I hope to make habits in my lifestyle. My monthly resolutions are forcing me to tend to my personal life to do list instead of putting them off and wishing them into existence. It's working, and I am totally enjoying it!

What I have been working on lately is being grateful. Grateful for the gray, rainy days because they make me appreciate the sunny days even more. Grateful for chotic, filled-to-the-brim days because they make me appreciate quiet days even more. Grateful for 2 messy teenage boys because, well, you get the picture. ;-)

I have been working on getting my paperless office set up (which involves lots of scanning) so that I can design a user interface (I'm a programmer) for my tasking/bills/filing cabinet/etc program.

I have been organizing my scrap space. I am so inspired when I do this. Yesterday I painted popsicle sticks and labeled them for random scrapping and organizing in the future.

Lately I've been purging old toys and baby items we no longer need. Today is all about packing for our one week holiday in the desert. Goodbye rain!

I've been dealing with some mild post partum depression (didn't start until my son was about 6 months old...not something i was at all expecting) Over the past few months I've been working on staying in the moment, letting things "float away" and just feeling present and grounded as much as possible. I think i'll take away so much from this experience, and in a way i'm kind of thankful for it.
I've also been creating a lot of layouts lately, it's been my way to relax and take time for me in my little creative corner! :)

I have been knitting. I found some wonderful yarn at Tuesday Morning and I had to go back for more today. It is Alpaca and it feels and knits so nice. I started a hat. With it being warmer I am not going to work with heavier yarn too much longer.

One of my good friends from college is expecting a little boy in the next month. I am making her a memories book to jot down her experiences, like you made before Anna was born :)
