Seven weeks.

• Your smiles are just awesome. This photo above is so very you. Huge, big smiles that sometimes take my breath away.
• Your favorite location right now seems to be the changing table. You just discovered the mobile hanging above it this week and have been captivated by the orange, red, and white circles. Going to the changing table can change you from grumpy and crying to seriously happy in an instant (it seems to be a literal "change" table).
• You sleep best all wrapped up. The pacifier is your friend.
• You are tolerating Simon's "snuggles" (as seen above) and definitely notice when he is around and recognize his voice. He loves you so much. If I meet him at the door when he gets home from school without you in my arms the first thing he says is "where is my sister?"
• You are a mini-napper during the day, but sleep great during the night (can't tell you how much of a blessing this really is - after having a challenging sleeper in the past I almost don't know what to do with a good sleeper).
• You have started having great little "conversations" with me where you are working on different sounds and verbalizations. These connected moments, when you are finding your own voice, are definitely some of my favorite times throughout the day.
We love you Anna and are so glad you are a part of our family.

That's funny about Anna and the change table. When my daughter was that age I used to tote the change pad around cause she loved it there! It made her instantly happy. Became a staple in many photographs!!
Enjoy this time with her. (not like you aren't!! I'm just realizing how fast they grow up!!)

Ali - thanks for sharing your precious girl with me. Your stories are so wonderful and a real blessing to me. I have not found work on over 7 months and have days when I am so discouraged. I logon daily to see what is going on with you and your family and find great comfort and encouragement. It is easier to believe that life is indeed good and that God does has a plan for each one of us.
