My daughter's 7th birthday is coming up this Monday. Our song, the first one I played for her coming home from the hospital, the one I listened to constantly just before she arrived and put on a compilation CD that I listen to every year around this time is "Spring" by Richard Shindell. It's about the wonder of birth (the "hope that you have carried since September, you will offer up to June") and I love its happy tune and wonderful lyrics...
Looking out your window you will wonder
At the blooming in your yard
And every opening flower will be a mirror
Of the quickening in your heart....
I highly recommend it to any mother, but especially those who have spring babies.

My favorite song (today) is "Run Through the Jungle" by CCR - kind of fitting since both my son and baby girl have been sick since Sunday and we're stuck in this jungle of a house! I LOVE that pink-flowered camera strap - it's so mod!

As I watched American Idol last night, I was reminded of one of my all time favorite songs, Endless Love. As danny sang i thought about my husband, my daughter, and our new addition, our sweet little boy. The love I have for these three people is totally endless. :=)
