My goal is to be less introverted and self-centered; I want to learn to love people for who they are, not just for what they can do for me.

Practically, I'm working on my master's degree while teaching kindergarten and being a mother to a 7 and 10 year old - oh, yeah, I'm divorced, too. I'm also working on laundry, meals, organization, transportation to swim practice and piano practice. Working on organizing my photos, making scrapbooks for my 18 kindergarteners, working on gifts for friends. I'm working on being "greener" and teaching my children to be more charitable.
In short, I'm working on balance. My goals are being realized every day - find peace and happiness with who I am. After a really really long time, I am happy! My lifelong goal has been met.

My goal right now is to focus and simplify. We have our third child coming to us at the end of the summer- need to de-clutter and make space, need to pay attention to the 2 year old and 1 year old and make sure all their stories are told. Need to capture those moments before it becomes even more hectic. Need to narrow down all those pending projects to the basics and let this rest go (this will be the hardest part for me).

My immediate goal is in planning a Mother's Day free photo event in the lower economic neighborhood of my town. I just want it to be a happy time w/low stress and an opportunity to love on some people! Can you imagine not having any good photos of your whole family?? Mine are my most treasured possessions. We want to give that to these families!

I recently moved to Dugway Proving Ground here in Utah. Although its an Army Base its mostly made up of civilians and about 24 soldiers and their families. I heard that a few years ago it was a pretty tight knit community, but as of late everybody has gone separate ways and people really don't come to community functions that often. I want to help change that! One of the things I want to do is start a scrapbooking group thats open to Army wives and civilian wives alike!! I think it would help foster the relationships between our civilian and army residents! We all work together here, but there is still some tension between the military personnel and the civilians who work and live here! I want to help change that! So thats one of my goals for my new home!

I have this amazingly long list of all the things that were on my mind as of the beginning of April. It was like a to-do list from he*&! LOL I have been whittling away at it since then and really hope that the list will be much more manageable for May. Other than that I've been focusing on enjoying my friend's brand new baby boy every chance I get and I have made some pretty fun cards this month for a ton of events in May.

Working towards a more healthful, inspirational life for me and my family. We are trying to live more by the golden rule, trying to be less materialistic, and spread our wealth to those who need it most. Spending time and celebrating life with my family in 2009 is the goal that I am trying to stress the most and less on trivial things!
