This question is completely inspired by the very cool site 50 People, 1 Question (thanks for the link Helen). Comments will be closed tonight at 8pm Pacfic with the winners posted shortly after.

ohhhhh, the beach!! the weather here (well, not today) lately has reminded me how much i miss trips to the beach. the hot sun, clear blue skies, cool breeze and NO humidity!! add the smell of coppertone to the kids and it's heaven! that's where i want to be. without the everyday worries and cares and chores. just me, dh and the kids with the sand, sun and waves...

Good question. I know I would want to wake up in our home on Madeira Island in Portugal. Waking up to the sound of water and waves is a dream. I can see it now, waking up to the sound of my son playing in the sun, the waves, the birds, acccckkk....wonder if I could hop on a plane this afternoon?lol

At the fishing camp where there are no phones and you can hear the loons at sunrise.

If I could wake up anywhere it would be...13 years in the past...I would wake up in my Mom's house. We would talk and laugh over tea, then work in her flower gardens, and then take a walk along the beach - sharing and enjoying the moment. michelle

I would wake up next to my soulmate...cheesy I know, but that would be the best spot! If not that then in Italy on the coast!

If I could wake up anywhere, it would be somewhere quiet with room service! Not too hot, but not cold either.

I would love to wake up at a cozy beach house looking out at the waves of the Pacific ocean. Cup of coffee in hand, family still snoozing, and knowing that I have at least a week off to relax and enjoy with loved ones.

In a beach house by the sea, anywhere, as long as it is warm, sunny and there is nothing but time to play in the sea and be with family.

When I was a teenager I had the chance to go to Austria for an exchange program. It was the only time in my life that I woke up at the same time every morning without an alarm. It was so beautiful waking up to the peaceful mountain air. I will never forget it.

If I could wake up anywhere, I would wake up in my bed, in my home but in a reality where my son was born healthy, with no problems and could run, play and laugh like a normal two-year-old.

I love waking up in the mountains where the air is cool and the bed is warm. The birds are singing and the light filtering through the trees is magical.

I would like to wake up in a resort somewhere exotic and fancy with the windows and doors wide open listening to the ocean crash against the beach. And, of course with my boyfriend there as well!
