My frugal tip is to use what you have. I love to "scrap shop", but haven't done so in so long... I have too much at home that I haven't used yet. Thanks for the giveaways!

My frugal tip is cutting out magazine photos to help with embellishments. I have always done this :) I also use scrap paper as much as possible.

My frugal scrapbooking days have me using my stamps and ink instead of scrapbooking stickers, instead of other embellishments...just use fancy stamps for flourishes.alphabet stamps or the computer for a title..the page looks simple and beautiful...and costs very little. Some of my favorite pages have just photos and a title...and a little journaling.

Trade or share supplies with a friend! What you might consider "outdated", she may love.

I am not in the area to attend the Scrap Etc. events. My tip is just to be organized. It keeps you aware of what you have before you go out and buy more product that you already had hidden somewhere. But there is no harm in shopping!

I live in Atlanta and would love to go to Scrap, etc!As far as a frugal scrapbooking tip goes...I use clothing labels (the chipboard ones) and the cute little ribbons and cute safety pins that come with certain clothing brands on my scrapbook pages!

My frugal tip - use everything. I save everything probably to a fault but then I have lots of extra bits and pieces to add to pages or to make cards.
Another tip I also try not to get caught up with themes even though I might be scrapping pictures from Disney I don't have to use Disney papers and embellishments I try to use what I already have on hand.

I have two:
1. I save all my scraps and then use them do layouts using them as borders, layering, weaving, or for punches.
2. The buttons i get with clothes I buy I put in a jar (I would never remember I had them for the item they came with anyway :-)...then I use those buttons on pages. I usually have some pretty unique buttons, different colors and shapes.

I live in Atlanta and would love to win this. Being frugal means only buying something I need and I have a coupon to use on it or if the item is on sale. Otherwise, I have to wait a couple of days to see if it is still calling my name.

My frugal scrapbooking tip would two fold. The first is save and use your scraps. The next is to shop at the clearance or the dollar section at Target. They usually have great deals on scrapbook stuff.

My frugal tip is using cool tags from clothing. The Tommy Bahama tags are usually cool. The kids clothes often have things they're interested in like Hannah Montana.

My tip is to use a combination of adhiesive on the edges, and acid free glue stick on the center of your photos and paper. And to always check the dollar spot at both target and michaels whenever you go. I can't tell you how many cool things I've found there. Thanks for the giveaways!

I like to stamp on cheap felt squares from the dollar store craft section using my favorite 'shaped' stamp and staz-on ink and then cut the shapes out by hand.
Seriously cheap and gives some awesome texture and dimension to my layouts.

Great giveaways! I'm most excited about the Shabby Chic tags, but they all look neat. (I would not be able to attend the Atlanta event.)
My frugal tip is that I save fabric ribbons from gift packages or floral arrangements -- these can be used not only for scrapbooking, but also can lend some needed creativity to your child's school project you don't find out about until Sunday evening. :-)
And I'll second Christine's suggestion of using leftovers to make cards. Anyother AWESOME giveaway!!! My tip...ummmm....i just try to use what I have and not go out and buy just to buy...it can be fun!!! (and gets me to be creative!!!)

I love my mini crochet hook for work with using inexpensive fibers in my projects - comes in so handy - enjoy multi-tasking tools.
I could most definitely attend Scrap Etc. Event in Atlanta.

my frugal tip is to keep yours eyes open for chip board. it is used as backing to support paper or other flimsy items in packaging, in the covers of binders, etc.
i use these blanks to cut templates out of, make covers for mini-books, test markers or pens, or to put under things that i'm cutting with a craft knife.

Wow, Ali, what a wonderful giveaway! I would definitely be able to attend the event. My frugal scrapbooking includes using scraps to make cards, which my friends buy from me instead of buying at the drug store. Also, in our household, if there are any clothes we're getting rid of that are too worn to pass on to charity, we remove all buttons 1st for scrapbooking with later.

I use acid free cardstock, the white, because I can use it for scrapbooking and to paint for art journal pages or my daughter can use it for drawing or painting on!
