If I can resist not going to accumulate more fun stuff than I find I get more done, kind of like being a creative cook with a few ingredients. I have a closet and a file cabinet to shop from here at home. I would still adore winning some sweet prizes though!

my tip: dont throw anything away! (ex. old keys, buttons, parts to kids toys even) just cause they arent manufactured for scrapbooking doesnt mean they dont work well for scrapbooking.

My best tip is that I never, ever throw away a piece of paper after using it for sizzix, mounting or whatever. Even if it's the tiniest bit, I'll get a punch to use up that last bit. It's also nice to have pre-punched things ready to go too - so double duty!

Great giveaways! My tip is - whenever I mat a photo, I also cut a shape out of the space covered up by the photo. This serves a few purposes: one, I'm not wasting paper; two, it lightens up the weight of the page and three, I can use the shape in a layout!

I love the scrapping magazines but they can get costly so I read them at the library and photocopy any layouts or info that I really want. Sometimes I spend $1 on copies and some months nothing. I also print out layouts from the online sites. I have saved more than 50$ a year this way...money I can then spend on fun new scrapping supplies!

OK, I just thought of this today before I looked at the post. I just received the newest Vera Bradley catalog. Their fabrics are so colorful and I thought, "Hey, what if I square punch these fabric samples and use it in my scrapbooking." Well, there you have it - a frugal scrapbooking tip.
I could attend Scrap Etc. Events. Please enter me for that.
Thanks

I save the chipboard out of my paper packs, cut out cool designs from mailers, keep envelopes, etc.

I live in Atlanta, pick me!!!!
I do most of my scrapbooking/papaer crafts with my sister. We try not to duplicate tools so we can share. It's not often that I crave to use something she has when we are apart.
Thanks to your sponsors for sharing these wonderful gifts.

Would love a set of the tags!!! Frugal tip: clip and save the cute embellishments on greeting cards you receive and use them in your scrapbooks or shadow boxes :).

Great giveaways!! I am also a scrap-saver, and I can almost always find a use for the scraps I've saved. If not, they go into a "later" basket where I'm collecting craft supplies for my daughter to use when she's older.

I would be so stoked to go to Atlanta. To help me save money I use the cardboard from the back of pads of paper and spiral notebooks as an alternative to chipboard when I make tags and labels.

I have been known to piece 2 scraps together and run a ribbon down the seam(s) to make it look like 1 sheet of 12x12 paper.

Hey Ali---Lately I have been incorporating the packaging on some of my stickers and rub-ons on the actual layout....most of the time the packaging matches the embellishments and they make perfect jounaling blocks or photo mats, I especially love making memories and imaginesce. Thanks, Lisa

How about, when you don't seem to have time to scrap anymore, you can still get your scrapping fix by reading Ali Edwards' blog? :) Tfs.

I love using items I already have to embellish my pages. I scarp my Christmas cards every year, especially saving the photo-cards. I use the non-photo cards to embellish the pages. You can use a precious angel or silly dog with antlers most anywhere. And best yet, I can watch the children and families grow.
I don't live in ATL but my BFF is there, what a perfect mothers day present for us!

I invested in a cheap file folder tote... I colored each tab a different color and I place leftover paper (no matter how small the piece) in the different folders according to colors... That way, when I only need a small piece, I only search the right color folder instead of rooting through a whole box of scrap paper (and ruining the edges by shuffling them around!).
Don't include me in the scrapbooking expo... too far!

I think would have to be go shopping in your own space, I have a bit of stuff and somedays I'll just start searching, it's amazing what you can find. Things that I've forgotten about and love. They are new all over and beats spending money at the store(even though that's fun too) I've loved reading some of the other ideas this is great. Thanks Ali.
And yes I could do the scrap etc. event too. Thanks for a chance to win.
