frugal- i love frugal :)
i save all my scraps, and go through them occasionally and give them to my scraping nieces. i always look through my scraps before making a card. this way i normally don't cut into a new sheet of my beloved paper.
i trace around shapes to use for journaling blocks.

my tip: i've been using the sticker "frame" leftovers from labels as frames to fill in cards and scrapbook pages. They are perfect for "holding" embellishments, letters & word stickers. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!

When I make cards, I try to incorporate scraps from other projects to use up leftovers. I've also been trying to use what I have instead of buying new supplies.

My frugal tip...swap left over and/or unused supplies with other scrappers..i.e. scrap paper, letter stickers, stamps, etc...just because you won't use it, doesn't mean someone else can't.
P.S. i am within driving distance of the Scrap Etc event and i have accomodations too!!

I like to swap "old" stuff with fellow scrappers (mainly my sister). We always have those bits of things that we don't need anymore and often times someone else can turn them into a treasure :0).

Save your scraps!! Also the negative cutout leftover from the Cricut. Use those coupons from Michael's and your local SS - we scrappers love a sale!

One thing that I have started doing since reading your blog, Ali, is always getting my idea sketched out on paper whenever it pops into my head (ie. in church, as I'm falling asleep at night, etc.). To get the idea sketched out saves me alot of time and supplies because I avoid buying supplies just because they are cute are printing out a pic just because I "might" scrapbook it. I've been able to enjoy my hobby more even with limited time and resources.

Those bright journaling cards are so cute! My frugal tip is buying letter stamps and ink instead of letter stickers. They last forever and you never run out of e's!

Sometimes I go scrap shopping with a friend, and if we see something we both like, we'll buy it and split it, like a paper pack or something. I get tired of the same stuff anyway, so having half of it to use is sometimes I really great thing, especially for half the price. :-)

Frugal Tip: use the stamp scraps as pop-ups after you cut out the stamp (for stamp-in-up stamps).

We all have lots and lots of scraps! I keep a basket near my scrap box. Then when I have time I cut lots and lots of circle scraps in all kinds of different sizes. I like a black scallop circle with a white circle center because it goes with everything. That way when I need a saying for, lets say a cupcake, all I have to do is grab a circle, put it on a toothpick and it's ready to go.

Honestly I am finding that the best way for me to be frugal is to be organized. When I have my supplies organized I am more aware of what I have and am less likely to buy more! :)

My frugal scrapbooking tip would be to buy with a friend. Most packages of supplies come with more than you will ever use, so buy with a friend and split them!

I tend to buy supplies that I can use over and over again like stamps + masks and tools that helps me make my own embellishments like punchers + templates. I also repurpose packaging... it's amazing what you can do with Pillsbury icing cups and clear packaging! :-)

I use a hanging file folder filing box and sort my scraps by color. I don't keep every scrap but those bigger than a business card I will.
Can't do Atlanta but I would love one of the rest of the prizes!

I love to journal directly onto photos with a photo marker - that way I can get more photos on the cs! (This would work well, for example,if I have a photo that I don't want to crop the right bottom corner, but the top right corner has big white sky.)

I am always looking for ways to save money on embellishments. I love chipboard and have found that the raw chipboard and some paint or scrap paper makes a great cheaper alternative to the embellished chipboard shapes on the market. For titles, I use stamps and then add dimensional glaze to create my own "epoxy" sticker titles. I trace chipboard flowers onto scrap paper and handcut.

I love making my own patterned paper by scanning fabric, or using images from on-line to print onto inexpensive white cardstock that can be purchased into bulk!
