Simplify 101 • one person will receive a spot in the online workshop Organize Your Paper Clutter with Aby Garvey
Paper, paper everywhere! That paper mountain growing on your countertop
represents a loss of freedom, a loss of control, and a nagging feeling
in your gut that something important isn’t getting attended to. Your
paper, and the feelings it creates, makes it hard to relax, focus or
even have fun.
Here’s
the good news: there is a better way! With the right paper organizing
systems in place—those created with you, your paper, and your home in
mind—you can free yourself from paper clutter and the stress that comes
along with it. In Organize Your Paper Clutter, you’ll learn a
step-by-step process on how to decide if you need a piece of paper (and
for how long!) and how to organize it so you’ll find it again right
when you need it! Your piles (and your stress!) will be replaced by
organizing systems you love, and feelings of confidence, relief and
peace of mind!
Start date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
End date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Registration status: open!
Read more specific details for the workshop here.

I have been reading books by Temple Grandin who has autism and has her Ph.D. Very inspiring for us since 2 of our boys were recently diagnosed. Makes you think there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

My favorite book is Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. She introduces us to Claire who is transported from 1947 Scottland back to 1749 Scottland and thus her adventures and timeless love story with Jaime Fraser starts. It is the first in the 7 (soon to be 8) book series. My second favorite book is Can you Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella. It was so funny and I highly recommend it. If you loved Confessions of a Shopaholic then you'll love this book.

Hmmmm, a good book? There are so many. I think I'll share the one that really got me on the path to thinking differently about my life...
"Simple Abundance" by Sarah Ban Breathnach. I first saw her on Oprah then rushed right out to buy the book. I LOVE it so much!!! I read it all the time and learn something new from it everytime.
Thanks, Ali for all you do to inspire me and the rest of the creative world.:)

Oh, I would love love to win the camera strap. I've been eyeing those for some time now. :)
Right now, I am reading the Twilight serious. I know, I feel into the pressures of everyone. But, it's really a great serious. I just finished New Moon and can't wait to start Eclipse. I'm addicted! Other then that I love anything by Jodi Piccoult. She's a great author.

The best book is one shared with your child. One we are reading right now is "Rechenka's Eggs" by Patricia Polacco. It has beautiful Ukrainian art through out. I am artistic inspired while reading it!

My favorite book, ha! as if I have much extra time to read, but I guess it would be Healthy Sleep Habits for a Happy Child. With the help of this book, my daughter goes to bed early and sleeps through the night, giving me more scrapping time ans my sanity back!

My favorite book is "Goodnight Moon" by Margaret Wise Brown. My grandmother gave me this book shortly after my son was born. I asked her to write a special message to my son inside, I also included the card that came with the gift inside the front cover. This is not something I typically do. My grandmother passed away a few short months later. My son and I now read this book every night before bedtime and every night I see her message and her handwritting. Its a way that I can convey to my son what a special lady she was and how much she loved us.

Oh my ... my love for books makes it hard to chose only one. I must say that the "Attitudes of Gratitude" books are always great. Plus they are pretty little books that are sweet to place in a guest room or on small tables throughout the house as gentle reminders to be grateful each day.
