Simplify 101 • one person will receive a spot in the online workshop Organize Your Paper Clutter with Aby Garvey
Paper, paper everywhere! That paper mountain growing on your countertop
represents a loss of freedom, a loss of control, and a nagging feeling
in your gut that something important isn’t getting attended to. Your
paper, and the feelings it creates, makes it hard to relax, focus or
even have fun.
Here’s
the good news: there is a better way! With the right paper organizing
systems in place—those created with you, your paper, and your home in
mind—you can free yourself from paper clutter and the stress that comes
along with it. In Organize Your Paper Clutter, you’ll learn a
step-by-step process on how to decide if you need a piece of paper (and
for how long!) and how to organize it so you’ll find it again right
when you need it! Your piles (and your stress!) will be replaced by
organizing systems you love, and feelings of confidence, relief and
peace of mind!
Start date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
End date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Registration status: open!
Read more specific details for the workshop here.

I tend to lean towards chick lit since they are fun and quick... love the Shopaholic series and "Can you Keep a Secret?" by Sophie Kinsella. I also like trivia and enjoyed the books "Secret Lives of the U.S. Presidents" and "Secret Lives of the First Ladies" by Cormac O'Brien. Interesting tidbits that you wouldn't learn in school.
Thanks for the great giveaway!

I'm going to answer this as the most powerful book I've read. It would be Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Piccoult.
I read this book on the airplane to CHA. It was very moving. While I was in LA, my second grader had a problem at school with a another boy stealing stuff from his lunchbox. This kid is a continual problem--after reading Nineteen Minutes, I actually stood in the middle of CHA and called my son's principal for a meeting. The next day DH and I were meeting with him re the problem. The school was semi responsive. A year later this other boy still is a problem, but mostly avoids messing with my son. Nineteen minutes made me realize how quickly kids can go down the wrong road. Thankfully we were able to do something early. I refuse for my son to be bullied.

Ohhh, Twilight is fabulous! Do I have to stick to just one suggestion? I'm helping Paula out at BPS with the Reading Room so I could list more, but Twilight is a go-to favorite that's been read and re-read by my daugther and I several times in the last year!
