Simplify 101 • one person will receive a spot in the online workshop Organize Your Paper Clutter with Aby Garvey
Paper, paper everywhere! That paper mountain growing on your countertop
represents a loss of freedom, a loss of control, and a nagging feeling
in your gut that something important isn’t getting attended to. Your
paper, and the feelings it creates, makes it hard to relax, focus or
even have fun.
Here’s
the good news: there is a better way! With the right paper organizing
systems in place—those created with you, your paper, and your home in
mind—you can free yourself from paper clutter and the stress that comes
along with it. In Organize Your Paper Clutter, you’ll learn a
step-by-step process on how to decide if you need a piece of paper (and
for how long!) and how to organize it so you’ll find it again right
when you need it! Your piles (and your stress!) will be replaced by
organizing systems you love, and feelings of confidence, relief and
peace of mind!
Start date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
End date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Registration status: open!
Read more specific details for the workshop here.

I'm really not a sappy, mushy, unrequited love story fan. But, I must say, I hope my marriage is the stuff of which inspired The Notebook. To reach the end of my days, and to have that level of devotion after a lifetime, that is my wish; the legacy I want to leave.

My absolutely favorite book is "The Alienist" by Caleb Carr. I just love that book. The story was awesome and I love the whole psychology of why people commit crimes. If you understand people you can so get along better in the world. Highly recommend it!!!!!

My favorite book is The Birth House by Amy McKay. Stolen from the author... "The Birth House is the story of Dora Rare, the first daughter to be born in five generations of Rares. As a child in an isolated village in Nova Scotia, she is drawn to Miss Babineau, an outspoken Acadian midwife with a gift for healing. Dora becomes Miss B.’s apprentice, and together they help the women of Scots Bay through infertility, difficult labours, breech births, unwanted pregnancies and even unfulfilling sex lives. Filled with details as compelling as they are surprising, The Birth House is an unforgettable tale of the struggles women have faced to have control of their own bodies and to keep the best parts of tradition alive in the world of modern medicine."
Sooo good.

Oh - do I have to pick just one book? I think I would have to say 'The Perfection of the Morning' by Sharon Butala. I read it quite a few years ago but it had such a personal resonance for me at the time that it has remained a favorite.

Hi...I hope this counts....my favorite CHILDREN'S book is 'The Kissing Hand' by Audrey Penn. (I can't decide what my favorite all around book is). 'The Kissing Hand' is such a sweet book. My daughter loved hearing that story over & over. We used to give each other "kissing hands" before she left for school each morning, when she was younger. (She's a teen now). My son liked it too when he was younger but it stuck most with my daughter.
Thanks for hosting the giveaway!

Wow! Thanks for doing this call for comments! I am loving reading what others are reading. I am still a lover of the Harry Potter series and all things Dr Seuss but I just read Good Grief by Lolly Winston and although the subject matter was sad I LOVED her wit. Great giveaway and BEAUTIFUL page for Anna the other day. Really inspiring me to take another look at my work and make it about the pictures and the words. Thanks!

I'm currently getting back on track with the Left Behind series, but Alas, Babylon still has to be my all time favorite. I read it in HS and it has still stuck with me. Another fave of mine is Same Sweet Girls. Reminds me of my circle of girl friends. :)
