Simplify 101 • one person will receive a spot in the online workshop Organize Your Paper Clutter with Aby Garvey
Paper, paper everywhere! That paper mountain growing on your countertop
represents a loss of freedom, a loss of control, and a nagging feeling
in your gut that something important isn’t getting attended to. Your
paper, and the feelings it creates, makes it hard to relax, focus or
even have fun.
Here’s
the good news: there is a better way! With the right paper organizing
systems in place—those created with you, your paper, and your home in
mind—you can free yourself from paper clutter and the stress that comes
along with it. In Organize Your Paper Clutter, you’ll learn a
step-by-step process on how to decide if you need a piece of paper (and
for how long!) and how to organize it so you’ll find it again right
when you need it! Your piles (and your stress!) will be replaced by
organizing systems you love, and feelings of confidence, relief and
peace of mind!
Start date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
End date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Registration status: open!
Read more specific details for the workshop here.

Back in the late 90's I read Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet. It is one of my favorites. I re-read it last year before reading Ken Follet's A World Without End.

sharing my DD's favorite books (we read them every night i think) .... "do princesses where hiking boots", and "do princesses really kiss frogs" she loves them and one is all about a girl and her mom, and then the other is all about the little princess and her daddy. there's even a mirror at the end of one and a place for a picture in the other.

One of my favorite reads recently has been "All I need is Jesus and a Good Pair of Jeans" by Susanna Aughtmon. She is so good at story-telling and us tired supergirls need to laugh. This is a wonderful book.

Not really new, but a book I'll reread from time to time because I love its simple style, lovely story and historical background is 'Girl with a Pearl Earring' by Tracy Chevalier. And then there's always 'Pride and Prejudice' (though I'm not the first to mention that). Thanks for your generous give-aways, would love to win one.

My favorite book is Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Kingsolver. It is a wonderful tale of a family that takes a courageous journey into living off the land for a year. The story is wonderful and it is full of great information about food!

As the weather starts thinking about warming, my thoughts turn to the garden and one of my favorite books on this subject right now is "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle" by Barbara Kingsolver. She and her family grew their own food for an entire year, from tomatoes to turkeys, and "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle" explores that journey into self-sustainability in ways I can't even imagine. I'm happy with coleus and herbs - but I feel my ambition sprouting!

I would recommend EVERYTHING by Anne Rice. I've re-read the vampires chronicles so many times they have fallen apart. If I had to pick a favourite, it would be 'The Vampire Lestat' Book 2 in the chronicles.

As the weather begins to think about warming, my thoughts turn to the garden and my favorite book at the moment - "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle" by Barbara Kingsolver. She and her family grew the majority of their food for a year, and AVM chronicles their journey into self-sustainability - from tomatoes to turkeys! I normally stick with herbs and coleus, but this year I feel my ambition sprouting!
