Simplify 101 • one person will receive a spot in the online workshop Organize Your Paper Clutter with Aby Garvey
Paper, paper everywhere! That paper mountain growing on your countertop
represents a loss of freedom, a loss of control, and a nagging feeling
in your gut that something important isn’t getting attended to. Your
paper, and the feelings it creates, makes it hard to relax, focus or
even have fun.
Here’s
the good news: there is a better way! With the right paper organizing
systems in place—those created with you, your paper, and your home in
mind—you can free yourself from paper clutter and the stress that comes
along with it. In Organize Your Paper Clutter, you’ll learn a
step-by-step process on how to decide if you need a piece of paper (and
for how long!) and how to organize it so you’ll find it again right
when you need it! Your piles (and your stress!) will be replaced by
organizing systems you love, and feelings of confidence, relief and
peace of mind!
Start date: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
End date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009
Registration status: open!
Read more specific details for the workshop here.

My fav book right now is Your Destiny Switch by Peggy McColl. Its about flipping your emotions from negative to positive!!! Worry opposite would be faith and calm. Its about getting from one point to another :) I'm loving it!
Great give aways. As always!

Something that you might enjoy reading with Simon (though it's quite long) is The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles. My son and I LOVED sharing this book together...kind of reminded me of Willy Wonka.

One of the books I read recently that I loved was "Plain Truth" by Joci Piccult. Loved it.

Well, I am not much of a book reader. So, I would say instead that I love to look at magazines like Martha Stewart Foods (some of my favorite recipes come out of there), Creating Keepsakes, and Martha Stewart Living. Hope that counts!

The whole Twilight series. I am sure this recommendation is expected. And for those who have not read it and think that a vampire book would not be there type I say please give it a try! I was hesitant to try it, but fell in love. The author is a great author and really draws you into the story and makes you get lost in it. A perfect way to relax and escape! Other books that I have loved are The Lovely Bones and The Dive From Clausen's Pier.

I read a book over my winter break from school called "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan." It is a story about the Chinese practice of foot binding. The cultural practice is described in such a raw way and it really makes one stop consider that way women have been treated in all cultures. The story line focuses on a friendship between two girls and chronicles their lives as they grow together in a special relationship more valued than any other. It is an eye opening story that is beautifully written and a good read for everyone!
I wish I could read more books! I'm a college student and I just don't have time during the school year. But I miss it! I'm always excited when I get a break from school so I can break into my stack of 20 books waiting to be read! I'm excited to read through everyone's suggestions!

Hmmm. I read like crazy, so here is a list of some of the books I've been loving in the past month or so (without authors' names b/c I never remember who wrote a book): Julie and Julia, Born on a Blue Day, Complications, Elegance, Marley and Me, the Bible (I like the NAS with the Zondervan NIV study notes), and I've been on a heavy L.M. Montgomery kick lately.

Considering that you have a newborn, my favorite baby book is Happiest Baby on the Block. Then again, maybe you're all babied out at the end of the day, in which case I like Eat, Pray, Love- such a good book! Thanks!

I highly recommend 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' to read with your children. The moments sitting in our big comfy chair, laughing at all the fun food that the caterpillar eats are most cherished by me...and my boy as well I am sure :)

Oh, I can't wait to read the list here! This is a great read... slowing down, listening carefully to our children - I love it as a teacher, but I also love it as a parent.

My book of the moment it The Hobbit. I was never interested in reading it when I was younger, but now I'm enjoying it. I'm sure I'll read the rest of the series and then watch the movies. I guess I'm weird because I won't watch a movie if I haven't read the book first.
