Welllllll.. I was going to be excited about surviving a camp trip with the kids I work with! It is a lot of work and a lot of fun BUT as soon as it is over I know summer vacation is right around the corner.... Unfortunaely I just found out that my best friend who moved about 5 hours away has come out of remission and is "not going to be able to be cured". SO I am changing my outlook and must say that this summer will be one of making memories and documenting them for her kids. Strange how things that seemed so important to you can become so trivial when LIFE shows up and knocks you down.

I'm excited about the special church service we just had. It's on Sunday evenings, we have it three times a year. It's at a bar/lounge/pub-place. We have a band where I play the bass guitar. It is a lot of fun and many people come who usually do not go to church.

I am so excited about seeing my cousin and her new baby boy at our family reunion. He was a preemie, but he's strong and healthy [and TINY], and at 5 pounds has now doubled his birthweight. :)

I am excited for the rain! The clean sweet smell... great for my flower beds and relief for our crops. The rain also gives our family quality time with my husband, the farmer. :)

What I was looking forward to this weekend....We (my DH and I) took our kids (dylan 12 and megan 9) to the drive-in for the first time. I remember going to the drive-in as a kid and wanted to share that experience with my kids. They loved it!! We saw UP! and Land of the Lost. So much fun.

Hurray for summer vacation, finally! After many weeks of multitasking with finishing up the school year with my 6th grade class, working our way through the purchase of a 2nd home, finishing the baseball season with my two boys, plus all of the other end of the year events for piano, Cub Scouts......is there ever an end to this list. All I can say is a hurray for summer.
