My favorite summer tradition is celebrating my daughter's half birthday. Her half birthday is July 17-- we have friends over for half of a cake and play time. No gifts, no decorations but tons of fun!!!

My favorite summer tradition is Friday Movie Days. Thursday we go to the movie store and it doesn't matter that T wants to see that and C wants to see this...we get both and other movies too and we watch however many we got Friday all day. It's just our day to snuggle up and not worry about anything!

Invariably, summer means baseball tournaments. And it truly is my favorite way to spend the summer. We spend the early part of the season here in the NW FREEZING at baseball games. It is a joy to watch the boys play in the sunshine while we are warm and happy in the stands.

Our favorite (and most frequent) summer traditions are (1) swimming, swimming and more swimming; (2) cooking on the grill; and (4) picnics. A new tradition this year is searching for (and enjoying) veggies from our new (small) garden!
Thanks for the chance at the fabulous giveaways!!

Going to my in-law's for the 4th of July. They live on a lake and the other people that also live on the lake shoot off the best fireworks.

The pool. We go to the pool TONS in the summer. It's a great way for our kids to let out all their pent up energy! And let's be honest, it's my sanity, some days. lol.

Living in Utah, I'm only 3-4 hours away from some of the most amazing National Parks. Every weekend during the summer we get away to play and explore.

Camping at Perrygin Lake State Park in Winthrop WA! My father was the manager of the park for 19 years, and all of his fellow state park ranger friends and their families always came for a July campout at our park. Now that Dad has moved on to a higher position, we get to go camp out with the rest of the "tourists"! Fun times with people who have known me since I was a kid. Now that my boy is 2, this will be his first time, and the first ranger GRANDKID at the campout!
