We just moved to Alaska this year so we have started a new summer tradition: attending the salmon bake at Pioneer Park. All you can eat salmon and prime rib...YUM!

My new favorite summer tradition is making jam with the kids. Today they got all the pits out of the cherries and were covered head to toe in cherry juice, but we got 3 batches out of it!

We roast marshmallows and make s'mores at my parents house. My kids love the fire-chiminea at Nana and Grampa's. We also make homemade ice cream over there too. Great summer memories.
Ali - the giveaways are AWESOME! thanks for highlighting the different companies/people that are selling things that I didn't know existed and somehow must have! You are an enabler. :-)

My favorite is going to the town festival early August. Saturday it's the outdoor-marked in the main street and concert at night and Sunday the childern's carnival-parade and entertainment. Last year was the first time I didn't attend but I was in hospital giving birth to my beautiful daughter.

One of our favorite summer traditions is celebrating the 4th of July with the family. EVERY year, we go to the parade, then to our favorite restaurant, then to the park, then have a BBQ, and then we watch fireworks. It's a busy day, but SO MUCH FUN! I look forward to it every year.

Getting out the paddling pool and crazy daisy. The weather hasn't been the best the past couple of years so it really is a case of if the sun is shining we seize the moment. The littlies love it!

Aaah...the much-maligned-but-always-remembered-fondly ROAD TRIP! To LA, the Grand Canyon or even just Sacramento.

My favorite summer tradition is going to the San Diego County Fair (Del Mar Fair). I haven't missed one since I can remember and I'm 33 years old! It's huge and your feet ache by the time you're done for the night, but it's such a wonderful day filled with sweets and treats of all kinds. Happy Summer to everyone!
