A friend recently had a baby, and this is the first time I've had the opportunity to photograph a newborn. She was so sweet, and they were patient, but I was clearly out of my element on this topic. Looking forward to trying some more, though.

My favorite photo is one I recently took of tomatoes blooming in my garden---I'm just learning to take good photos AND garden, so they combine two of my passions.

My favorite photo is of my oldest daughter on her first day of scool one year (she's in 10th grade now). So innocent, so sweet, and so excited. I love looking at it even years later it is how I see her still.

I was just looking at my favorite photograph. It is of course of my three kids and it is a shot of the three of them sitting at the waters edge at the beach. The shot is of their backs and although you can't see their smiling faces there seems to be so much emotion...So much busyness all around them, yet their they sat just enjoying the tranquility of each other and the blue ocean in front.
Great Giveaways! As usual :)

My favorite recent photo is of my 6 month old daughter. She'd just crawled across the floor to her sister's baby doll. She propped herself up and wrapped one arm around the doll's head and placed her other hand on the top of the doll's head. She then proceeds to kiss the baby doll. It's the cutest thing. I took the photo from in front of her at floor level. The only place it's available online is on a scrapbook page. http://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=93896&ppuser=2304

Mine would have to be a family photo taken of us by a professional last Thanksgiving. We have a big print of it in our home and I just love how it captures us.

My favorite photo lately is from pictures I took on my kids' last day of school - they went down a huge water slide and look very excited and thrilled!

Lately? I have been enjoying my photos from my visit to the Oregon Coast and my brother who came to visit from Australia.

My favorite photo is of my oldest daughter's first preschool photo. She looks so poised and sweet and I love the little blond curls that she had then. She'll be 14 this week and I can't believe how the time has passed.

My fav pic was taken a while back. I'm a little bit obsessed with food (hey, I'm French), so it is of a piece of vegan white coconut cake. Each time I look at it, my mouth waters and I can still taste the deliciousness of it.

My favorite photo at the moment is the one that was taken on my graduation day.
I just graduated design school, and the photo is just so out of the moment. I am ultra happy with myself, happy with my man, and life is good right now. I have never had a picture of us, that shows so much spirit, and so much emotion in a good way... I am loving this snapshot of us! And I know we both have like five chins, but that's ok, I like it!
*inlove*

My most recent favorite photo is one I took of my younger brother at his going away party, right before he left for Navy bootcamp. He had been growing out his hair and beard, figuring that for the next 5 years, he had to keep it short. So he was looking a bit mountain-man-ish, plus he's a self-proclaimed redneck, so he was also wearing his romeos, carhart jeans and jacket, and a scruffy CAT hat. He's now this clean shaven, short haired, uniformed kid...but that picture is the brother I KNOW.

So this isn't one photo in particular, but my husband and I just returned home from a trip to Copenhagen. When we travel, I usually take all the photos. This time, for whatever reason, he took most of the photos. I'm so excited to download the photos and get a glimpse into how he views the world through a camera lens :-)

My friend took this photo of my daughter Caitlin at the Memorial Day picnic:
http://www.thebigredhouse.org/events/memorial-day-cookout/2009#117
What I love about it is how curious she looks - I forget what she was looking at, but it hardly matters, as it captures her natural curiosity. I also love that there's loads of space to the left of the main subject, perfect for journaling or, as I did in the layout I made, an inset photo.
