Sponsor Giveaways: SewCute Shop

Sewcutegiveaway

One person will receive a Women's Auty Top from SewCute Shop (you will be able to choose your own fabric from her current stock):

Here's a little bit about SewCute Shop and Brandy's mission to do something really good for another family:

I started sewing sometime last year and fell in love. My grandmother (Nana) taught me the basics of pinning patterns, hemming, and seams. After being taught those skills I have really been a self-taught seamstress. I have a true love for putting the most trendy fabrics together and making 'SewCute' items. The items I place in SewCute Shop are my favorites and I am very happy to make them for you.

In March 2009 my best friend's little boy was suddenly diagnosed with adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) - a degenerative brain disease. The movie 'Lorenzo's Oil was made to bring awareness to this newly discovered disease. In early April, Joel, Teresa and Riley Greene aka TEAMGREENE were moved from Chattanooga, TN to Durham, NC where Riley would spend what they thought 100 days after receiving a bone marrow transplant. Due to complications, this week marks 133 TEAMGREENE has been in Duke Hospital.

I made a pledge to donate all proceeds from SewCute Shop to TEAMGREENE until they returned home in Chattanooga. For me sewing has become much more than just a hobby it has been a small part of what allows my best friend to stay by her son's side. For more information on TEAMGREENE visit www.carepages.com/carepages/teamgreene and create a username/password.

When I'm not sewing away I enjoy spending time with my fabulous husband, Ty and two children Autumn (9) and Tyler (2).

I had Brandy make one of these for Anna (see above) and one of these for me (love wearing it over my jeans) and they are awesome.

Love the cute things that she makes...and the fact that she is doing it for OTHERS makes it even more special! It truly is better to give than to receive!
My favorite charity is The Love Children's Home in Yangon, Myanmar. (They don't have a website...you have to go there yourself to see how wonderful it all is!)We have been there several times to show the orphans there how much we love them! I read once that children need 10-12 meaningful touches everyday. They need that even more than my gifts, so I give both! Going there for the first time changed my life forever! I saw the love of Jesus in the flesh on that campus.

I had a high school friend die a couple years ago from lung cancer so I have donated to American Lung Cancer but just in the last week I have found a new place to donate. My nephew and his girlfriend were expecting a baby Oct. 15 He decided to make a grand entrance 2 months early at a little store on the side of the road. He was flown to a hospital in St. Louis, Mo with several problems but should make it. Childrens Miracle Network gave them gas cards so they could drive up and spend all there time with him. I thanks them for helping these young kids out. I will be giving them a donation this year.

I don't really support a charity, per se. I give at work...but I choose to tithe to my church. I feel that the church can use my money in many ways.
Cute skirt and dress! Will check out the website!!!
    Have a great weekend!

What a beautiful story. I love the McGrath Foundation it is a charity set up by Glenn McGrath (an Australian Cricketer) and his wife Jane to provide breast cancer nurses to woman fighting the disease. Jane wanted to start the foundation because she benefited from having a nurse and wanted other women that could not afford one to have the same experience. It is a wonderful organisation.

My favorite charity is the ALS Association at http://www.alsa.org/donate/default.cfm; they do such wonderful things for the patients and families living with Lou Gehrig's disease (which is incurable). When my father was diagnosed in 1988 we received wonderful support from them.
Love the cute little dress for Anna and your apron. I'm off to check out her site.

Oops, I forgot my favorite charity! Sorry! My Very Own Blanket Organization in Westerville, Ohio donates hand-made blankets to foster children all over Ohio and then some. The mom who started this charity has a wonderful selfless heart. We love to donate material and yarn, and I've even been lucky enough to help out with my little sewing knowledge. http://www.mvob.org/Site/Welcome.html

When I was pregnant with my son, one of my girlfriends was pregnant with her daughter. 27 hours after delivering Madeline via c-secion, my friend Liz passed away from a pulmonary embolism. She never got to hold Madeline. Her husband Matt has since started the Liz Logelin Foundation http://thelizlogelinfoundation.org/
which gives money to widows/widowers with young children. Matt is now a single father and has done an amazing job with Madeline. He is truly doing something amazing with the horrible hand he was given.

There are a lot of amazing charities out there, but one that we faithfully support is World Vision. It is such a joy to be able to sponsor children through World Vision and to receive pictures and letters as they grow and learn. http://www.worldvision.org/
Love the top and the aprons. Too cute.

Very cute....and love it when talents are shared for the betterment of others.
Catholic Charities is a great group of charities. Always listed as one of the highest percentage of each dollar going to actual charitable work and not administration. They do wonderful work and this applies to all people of the world, not just for Catholics.

What a kind and generous heart! I spend my time volunteering with Gilda's Club. Being a cancer survivor myself it is close to my heart to give back the support and courage that those angels gave me when I was battling ovarian cancer.
